How do I improve my WiFi signal? - Page 2

Just want to point out that it does not matter what the signal is like at your parents house, completly different scenario with what could be causing interference.

It was just to point out, that the way their house is build, is completely similar to mine. I'm just trying out options, since I have no idea what the problem is.

Yes, but things like power running throughout the house can cause interference or furniture. Just pointing out that it is not a good way to compare things. You may be able to get higher gain antennas on the router. Moving it around or it is just to weak in your case could all be causing this.

Did not look it up earlier, yes you are correct. I just assumed it was a router with removable ones.

below -80dBm is effectively not a usable signal. You want to be at -75 or better. I'm sitting 2M from two APs, and I get -39dBm from the strong one, and -48dBm from the older, weaker one (it's also sitting in a metal frame on a metal shelf). I'd suggest replacing the AP.

Ah okay, thanks. Yeah, I have no idea what to do. I just hate giving up and buying a new router, when this is around 8 months old.
