Kana v2 native DPI

Thread Starter
I'm currently in a mice buying binge, and the next one that's arriving is the Kana v2. I was wondering what are the native DPI settings for the Kana v2? I remember reading somewhere that the default (native = default?) setting are 800 and 1600. Can anyone confirm this?

Can't remember myself but 400/800 and 1600 all performed decent (4 meters/second PCS) for me. Above that it gets a little wonky.

It runs at 800/1600 out of the box w/ no drivers. I'd say it probably performs best at those.

Does that mean that all other DPIs besides 800 and 1600 are interpolated? More to the point, I'm particularly curious about 400 because I just recently added a Intellimouse 1.1 to the collection, and its 400 DPI actually feels quite nice (as in "fast"), even though I usually use 800 DPI 99% of the time in most of my mice.

All of them are native with "SROM-6x", 400cpi can be set with a little bit of "magic", altough nothing that concerns the user.

If a CPI step isn't specified after loading the srom, it defaults to 400, which is otherwise inaccessible natively. Is this the magic?

For CM storm it is.

Edit: And tbh i dont know how to access it once you specified it once.

Don't think you can. There's no value for 400 that can be specified when writing to the register.

Certain Brands are able to, and one was also able to add more native steps(Roccat KPO), it would be interesting to know if Kana v2 is lagging when changing from 800 to 400.

So, basically without doing any sort of "magic" on my end, 400 is not native, and likely only 800/1600 are?
