Yea and after looking at benchmark i realised the 7950 memory bandwith and many other part out of the MAIN CORE is alot weaker than a r9 290.

the r9 290 as not the most powerfull core but it other part are impressive smile.gif

r9 290

gskill 2400 ram 2x4 or 4x4gb

and my overclock currently at 4.8

should end my build for at least a years i think biggrin.gif

Yes the card will last you for quiet sometime. I have two 290's and most of the time I run one @ 1440P with most games maxed @ 45 - 60 FPS. It's a solid card.

Yea i was planing for 5960x 3 screen but idk if it will happen or not. and the r9 290 should handle most game at low-medium in these resolution and i can even lower it a bit i think smile.gif

Let me put it to you this way. You will pay around $200 for a 290. A 290 is not $200 better than a 7950.

That make sense. But im still getting it because a second 7950 will give me 20% + power than a r9 290 overclocked. but so much heat and it not all about core performance i know i will get 3 screen so the r9 290 will have more power

And my current 7950 run like crap anyways smile.gif

The 280 and 280X are the same exact cards. The date doesn't have anything to do with it. The 290 is only 1 year newer than those anyways. Go ahead and spend your money but don't try to convince yourself of this by arguing with what I'm telling you.

I may have to agree there, waiting for the 3xx series may be a better option, reading around that AMD plan significant price drops on the 290 series.

I'm all about those small upgrades tho, went from a 6850, to 6950 to a 7970 then finally to a 280x (after the 7970 died) redface.gif

Dont come crying when they release something in 2 years with 2% performance increase.... they are going to be stuck like cpu are... Moore law ftw biggrin.gif

the r9 280 r9 280x are 7950 and 7970

the r9 290 is a new design that perform better and is of the last gen amd

The date tell that it take 3 years to release 25% performance increase

so in 1 years at best 8.3% ok 10% tongue.gif
