4670k - odd Prime95 temperature spikes?

Did a 30 minute run at stock and i'm getting these spikes up into the mid 80's every 8 minutes or so, then temps fall back down to 65-70. Is this normal? It seems like the 95 runs I've seen from other people it's usually a slow steady climb and levels off. Maybe i'm wrong? I'm using an H60 cooler btw.

Edit - I think I figured out the issue. It seems that Prime95 versions newer than 26.6 are "Haswell killers" causing unrealistically high temperatures.

I reverted to version 26.6. Been testing for 15 minutes now and temps have been a steady 67-70 C with no odd spikes!

Up top you can see a 5 minute run of the newest version of Prime95 on the left side of the graph and it's rather quick climb to 90+ degrees. Versus a 15 minute run of version 26.6 on the right, which gives me a steady 67-70 degrees.
