Need Help With OCing G3258 with ASUS H81M-D

Hey, I'm new to overclocking and I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out here. I don't know how to overclock my CPU using the BIOS. There are no settings for it whatsoever. The CPU and mobo are compatible with each other, so I don't see what the problem is here.

In order to overclock an Intel part, you typically need a Z87 or Z97 board. The H81 motherboard is not designed to allow overclocking. It is compatible with the G3258, but won't allow you to adjust the CPU multiplier.

There are a few exceptions to this rule. A couple of H81 boards can be updated to allow overclocking, but you would need to check your exact motherboard and go about updating it if necessary.

I tried, but it always gives me an error. Could you help me with that?

Follow the directions on this page, the second method applies to your board.

That's the best I can do.
