Ok so to make along story short i bought a HP 500-223w due to the fact it came with a i3 4130 8gb ram 1 tb hdd windows 8.1. I couldnt build a computer for what i paid for this one. ($300) with these specs trust me i tried. I had a gt240 in my old computer that i transfered. I am looking for some more graphics power now though. I want the 2 gb gtx750ti OC from asus. But i will need a new psu as mine doesnt have the PEG connector. With that said any suggestins? I will be lookjng to OC the 750 more than it is. Sorry for the long post its kind of a intro and question in one. Oh looking to stay under 200 for the card and power supply. Thank you. smile.gif

you could of build yourself a pretty beastly Machine for 450$ going with a G3258 + MSI mobo from Microcenter with a r9 270/7870, 8gb of ram and a 128GB SSD, 550w PSU, and a cheap 30$ case.

I tried and built many combos all coming in over 400 dollars with no graphics card at all. Planning to use my gt240. I was dead set that i wanted a core i3,5,7 dunno why but its what i wanted. Anyways im also kinda dead set that i want the asus 750 ti having had great luck with asus products in the past. Plus this is also my home computer. Wanted an easy warranty no build place and start deal as our other computer took a dump out of the blue. I was looking at cooler master v2 and thats how i found this site and the advice against it. I will eventually build my own when i have more money to play with. Only income in a house of 3 sucks sometimes and im a lowely diesel mechanic haha. Ty for the reply

theres nothing wrong with EVGA, i'd take EVGA over asus GPU's anyday, if you get the 750ti that i mentioned you wont need to waste Money on a PSU, also the fact that out of the box the EVGA SC 750ti is faster than the Asus smile.gif

Ty again. I will definetly consider it. How well does the evga overclock compared to the asus? I like the cooler on the asus but from what i understand these run very cool anyways. I also seen a video on the asus where they were able to change voltage on the card with software provided by asus. Dunno if i will want to go that far with it but i wanna run crysis3 on some higher settings.

It was the evga that i saw my mistake. He was using precision to up the voltages. Only thing i like better now is the heat piping and dual fans but meh i can live without that.

You could also buy a molex to pse adapter and use you current vga.

Something like this:
