Help me with my first itx build

CPU: i5 4690k
CPU Cooler: Noctua LH-L9i
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97N Gaming 5
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB DD3 1866MHz CL9
Storage: Kingston V300 240GB
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Video Card: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming
Case: Silverstone RVZ01
PSU: Silverstone 600W 80+ Gold

The CPU cooler looks good.

I'm not RAM expert, but I bet both those sets use the same DDR3 ICs... So go with whatever is cheaper.

Also, I like the Silverstone ML07 more than the RVZ01, but that's just me.

And don't skimp on the monitor or headphones either, what do you plan to use?

Yes, those mini 970s are tiny and will fit in the RVZ01/ML07


And the monitor certainly does matter. 1080p is fine, but try to go for 120hz, GSync, or at the very least an IPS or VA panel. All the 970's power is useless if it can't display it properly smile.gif

Yes, but the OC really depends on your luck with the CPU you get.


My 4670k will do 4.5ghz (maybe 4.6) under a cheap hyper 212+, but some people struggle to hit 4.3 with high-end coolers.

I have heard that the refresh overclock better, however I meant for the case
