Which fan filter should I use?

Hi, I have my rig in a Corsair Carbide 300R (no window model), and I installed 2x120mm fans on the side, near the graphics card, and i need 2 dust filters to apply on them. I have to choose between two models, at different prices. Pics + price following:

This first one appeals me the most, but costs 7,40*2=14,80€ (USD 8,72*2=17,44)

This seems less airflow-friendly, and also messier, but costs just 2,39*2=4,78€ (USD 2,82*2=5,64)

Consider I have to buy two of them, so I am going to spend twice as much as noted. Which one do you suggest me to use? Is the second one actually going to impact performance more than the first one?

Thanks for your time!

1st filter will have better airflow due to its design. however it's harder to clean since it bolts right onto the case/fan. but since it's an aluminum mesh, it'll practically last forever.

2nd filter wont have as good of an airflow but will be alot easier to clean since you can open it and take out the foam filter and wash the foam filter. 2nd filter will also die in maybe 2 years of use since foam filter that thin doesn't hold up will over time.

See if you can find Silverstone magnetic mounting filters. They are cheap and work very well.

Thank you so much for the info, psyclum and doyll. I found the SilverStone FF122 at a reasonable price, 8,51x2=17,02€. Seem like the best choice!
Now I noticed a thing: the fan grills where I put my 2x120mm fans are actually 140mm large, if I buy a 120mm filter, is the space around the filters going to collect dust?

depends on the design of the case. if the filter is not mounted flush with the case/fan, then there will be minor dust getting by unfiltered. for the 300R, this shouldn't be a problem unless the filter slides out of place from gravity
