Hi all. First off, english Isn't my native and I will try to explain somewhat deep question thats bothering me..I hope I can explain my point.

Before the question thats bothering me I want to start with asking all of you a simple and general question: How long you've been using a computer - familiar with computer hardware? If thats more than 10 years, please keep reading.

I myself can remember the era of quake2, I was a kid in those years and I remember all kinds of different brands such as voodoo 3dfx or s3.I remember something like matrox and some other stuff. then this corporation called nvidia came later, with direct3d instaed of opengl which was more popular at that time. d3d was dominated by 3dfx. so long story short, we saw a 'battle' between these 2 corporations to win direct3d, then nvidia 'ate' 3dfx, literally, they ended up buying them.

in latter years we saw consoles coming up with direct3d. whole computer experience became moved onto consoles with playstation 2. opengl was obsolete, all games were d3d. then? more consoles, microsoft stepped into the game and xbox appeared. also, all those independent graphics card manufacturers being eaten by these two: ati and nvidia. later, ati disappeared and reappeared under amd.

now only these so called two 'opposing' corporations are competing with each other, at least they act that way. I am using word 'compete' in very ironic sense because lets see what these two done: they added nothing new, they propose nothing revolutionary. we all thinking "oh this company does this good, other is just bad" or we say "this is better, they are not" but when you look at it, there are no differences between these two so called opposing corporations. their cards cost similar, they have support for similar technologies, games, applications, interfaces what ever.. you can argue if you want but in the end nothing is different between these two: you pay somewhat high or low but these two are doing simply the same products: graphics cards. one can play that game better, other can support that driver worse etc. nothing revolutionary comes out between these two corporations. Let me give an example: you won't see nvidia buying out amd one day or the other way. thats not gonna happen.

we have this corporation called amd, same thing goes between them and intel. You don't see any step up in terms of technology or pricing. When you look at it, its clear you can see they act like competing with intel but its just an act. Yeah we see sometimes, amd sells more but in the end they never mean to change anything. They always came up like an 'alternative', they never mean to take over..you know I mean? They are like 'limiting' themselves. Integrating gpu to cpu for example, amd came up with that and they could push it further but somehow stopped there...then intel acted even stranger; they came up with same gpu in cpu thing, with much limited performance like they deliberately didn't want to make it.

and these PR people acting like everything is so complicated, so complex and how their new product is so advanced. its all bull**** in the end, the paradigm stays the same, intel makes the rules and microsoft makes the rules with directx. and this amd plays the game so nicely.

the recent time made this so obvious for me. GPUs used to push limits for performance, at least when consoles werent so popular. now consoles are almost perfected and that market is huge, now we see this cut-back from technology in gpu's. again, these 2 corporations called amd and nvidia decided at the same time 'lets compete on power consumption and lets not make revolutionary gpu's for some time ok?'.. and now you see 4-5 year old performance being sold like new, rebranded, and these pr people telling you 'consumes this less power does this good job'..well, *** happened to performance? I dont see any leap from an old 5850, how thats a good job? so *** have you done since 5 years? "well we cut back power draw 60 percent" dude who the **** asked you to cut power? where is gpu 10 times better than a 5850 at same pricing?

You see where I'm getting at here? I mean lets see, a 5850 had 1440 stream processors. now look to r9 270: 1280 stream processors. one is old 40nm technology, other is 28nm technology yet has lower stream processor. so *** happened? this is a deliberate cut back, people.

now this means we are being fed gradully, technology is being kept. these PR people labeling this crap and selling us as 'new'. And competition? its all about marketing reasons, I don't believe these corporations are different. they all manufactered at same factories, same countries, factories next to each other. they just hire some PR people and marketing people to come up with words and complicate looking graphs to sell us their brand like its different. at the core they share same ideas, same roadmap, same thing.

now this is obvious with this 'green' thing. You know 'go green!' bull****. and they are so good at it, brainwashing people, you can see people literally ready to pay 150$ for a new gpu which is worse than their 2 year old gpu. Why ? because thisone uses 50watt less power .. this is complete bull**** and its frustrating to see people ready and lined up to pay for this. In terms of technology, they can make chips can go 4k res but instaed they are crippling the chips so you buy 4gpus and thats the only way for you to fireup that triple monitor setup.

I mean lets say, for once, amd went with this 'green' crap and nvidia didn't. So there is this card from amd which uses less watt, whole chip design is built upon that idea. And there is other chip from nvidia; which said '**** with that green power ****, lets make most powerful chip possible' ..and? why we see nothing like that? Everytime, same ****. We see one corporation doing same thing different way, almost like experimenting. In that case, amd goes more experimental while nvidia goes more feet on the ground, more stable and that makes the difference. Other that that, both does the same. It is so clear, they are both the same but they created this manufactered opposition to keep experimenting with different technologies, keep the money going in and give people the idea they have a different choce which there is not.

I think if people keep buying these garbage and call it 'technology', in few months nothing will advance in terms of performance. they will put up new products only because they consume less power. if you want performance? well you gotta buy one of those those 4pcie slot boards and put intel chip on it (of course!) and buy 4 of our cards then you can have performance.. this is what it is. eventually everyone will move to consoles or tablets or smart phones because this whole pc thing will become pointless. this is the process for getting rid of computers ultimately I believe, which is the whole agenda of big corporations and governments. all you people out there buying these products simply putting a nail on the coffin called 'personal computer'. cuz in few years it will only exist for people who have money to throw out there, to experiment. To me it is sad you know, to see technology being gradually released and people accepting this. PC used to be cutting edge --cutting edge technology. not this gradually released bs we see today. people accepting this whole concept of 'go green - use less watt' means end of an era.

I mean who cares about using less watts, people? every hardcore pc user wants triple monitors etc. who gives a **** about watt? do you check your panels before you buy them 'oh this uses 25w, this uses 27w so I will but that instaed'... any of you do that honestly?..
we see this card, gtx 750, equilevent to 5770 card from 2010 or something, uses no additional power cables, consumes less power etc, yes they are all good.. and bam: doesnt even have sli support. Well, that is some bull**** at monumental level. and there are people willing to pay for this bull****, which makes these corporations keep pushing it even further. nothing good will come out of this, like I said this is the end of pc. it will eventually become so expensive to buy a decent computer yet we all know it shouldn't. I mean open up that crysis1 from 2009 and tell me if its not looking better or at least same with todays latest games almost 6 years later...

I'm not against being energy efficient and all, but these days everything came down to that. and there is reason behind this. they almost ban PC's at some countries later because it uses much power "using PC is against the law! You gotta pay this tax cuz its luxury".. I mean tell me that is not the case, I know there are laws in some eu countries now using home equipment using more than 1600w is forbidden, something like that if im not mistaken?

I can see this is going that way and these corporations have no problem whatso ever. its all facade, blue vs red (intel-amd) or red vs green..its all bs to condition people and make them think there is competition, there is no competition. there is one agenda here and thats to gradually limit pc and eventually get rid of it completely so they can profit off better from their limited crap consoles and other things.

thanks if you read my rant so far and my last words are: **** these corporations and their cheap pr with this green agenda bull****. do not support them, do not pay this crap hundreds of dollars - euros - what your currency is people.
