let's do a tl;dr

-AMD's next GPUs will be 28nm
-20nm isn't happening
-AMD's next flagship will use HBM, and will have a max of 4GB
-AMD's next flagship will have a big die
-AMD's next flagship will face off against GM200, not GM204
-The chances of the chiphell leaks being accurate is almost nonexistent for obvious reasons
-Leaks actually do happen through linkedin quite often, how accurate the are is another question entirely
-People don't really care about the power bill but more about noise and heat dumped into a room
-GM204 is a mid range chip sold at high end prices
-GM204 is the GK104, GF114, GF104 equivalent
-GM200 is the GK110, GF110, GF100, GT200b, GT200, G80 equivalent
-GM200 is basically a GM204 * 1.5 (+ maybe FP64) except for clocks
+100 agreed with all those facts

I would not trust mine to take a beating but a good seasonic and other brand with alll japan cap could probably handle 110% load 24/7 for 5 years

Question is will the 380/390 from AMD provide a clearer performance difference compared to existing cards? If it really does end up sporting HBM memory then at the very least they will have a big jump in memory bandwidth just a matter of what use they manage to put it to.

As long as memory bandwidth isnt a bottleneck, it won't result in more performance. My 290X didnt improve with memory OC @ 1440p. Neither does these 970s.

HBM is cheaper tho.

Don't know about 4K, but I couldnt care less about 4K with all these AHVA 1440p 120/144 Hz panels incoming.

it might do it well, but lets just hope nobody tries on fitting that thing in a <600W PSU just because it has a 300W TDP.

If big Maxwell doesn't share the same clock advantage with GM-204, I recon Nvidia could just as well make a rerun of GM-204 with the wider bus.

All well known and/or common sense info, but some people are rreeeeeeeeeallllllyyyy slow to understand things.

Lets not be like toms hardware or even anand because we are not getting the NV money so we dont need to moan/cry about the power issue.

I swear to god that the way AMD should increase revenue is let nV pay them to put the "nVidia, the way its meant to be played." cards in their product boxes before shipping. It would be just as true in this case as in almost every other game they blurb on out there.
