what about the MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G are they good? Or do you mean don't get a gaming 4g 290x?

I meant the 290x 4G. The 970 4G is still one of the tops, but the Gigafail G1last i read has gone thru revisions and they seem to be harder to oc to the levels ppl were hitting with the at release cards.

The 970 is slighly better(maybe uses turbo=100mhz oc?)

there are no 290s that run at 922MHz. Unless it was downclocked or throttling due to heat.

Thread Starter
Yea pretty much thinking of just holding off for now.. Mostly wanted to be ready for gta iv but its been delayed again till march... So might just hold off for now.

Hmm i have another question not sure if i should make a new thread for this or not.. I was considering trying my uncles 570gtx back in. cause i notice it seems to run bf4 better than my crossfired when i last had it in .. I guess because it has a bit more vram.

But im also noticing on 3dmark a single 570gtx is beating crossfired 5x series? I never tested the 570gtx on 3dmark, But i tried it with the crossfire and i got 4800 score which seems a bit low but could be because im useing a 5870 and a 5850. while i see single 570gtxs avging over 6k and more..
