My moms Laptop crashed, it's broken. She has photos on that hdd she'd like to have. Can I connect her old hdd to her new laptop or salvage her photos somehow else? Is there an usb connector or something?

Thanks

Yes. You just need a SATA to USB adapter.

I can promise you it's not SCSI. If you post the model number of the drive then we could tell you what adapter you need specifically.

Hi there,
If you are sure that the reason for the laptop crash wasn't the HDD get it's model number from the label and check what kind of connection it uses. Then get and ATA/IDE to USB adapter for it and pull out the data.
