How to control pump speed automatically?

Thread Starter
Hi,

I was just wondering if there's a simple way to control a pump automically. I have a d5 pump with tacho cable and molex for power. I want it to be controlled by the motherboard if possible. Like can i get a molex to 3pin or 4pin connector? Or can i tkae out the pin of the cable and fit it in the three pin connector?

Is the tacho cable a 4 pin connector? If so, then it has PWM functionality like any fan. Plug it into a 4 pin motherboard header with PWM functionality and it will work like any PWM fan. If not, then unfortunately, your pump model does not control this feature.
