X is pretty good if you liked 7,8 and 9. It is not as good as 6,7,8 and 9, but it is definitely better than everything that came after it.

Probably timed exclusives.

Squeenix has been porting a LOT of FF games to PC lately. I won't put it past them to port these over as well.

There are 2 glaring issues on the PS3 which I hope will be fixed for the PS4 version:

1) FFX will play in DD5.1 in-game, but the moment there is a CG cutscene the game automatically switches to stereo and then get stucks in stereo UNTIL you reboot the game (by reboot I mean exiting the game and then restarting, not the soft-reset via the controller buttons).
2) There is input lag. Although this isn't much of an issue in a JRPG, know that Tidus's Overdrive is completely based on timing.

One last note, because FFX and X-2 had so many CG scenes which were baked in with real-time cutscenes, having the audio cutout and switch is extremely annoying. You can just play in stereo and forget about the issue, but for those who has a multi-channel setup, it's a compulsory fix that Squeenix never seem to care about.

They are exclusive. Released at the time when FF was still a PlayStation exclusive. That changed when FFXI was ported to the Xbox 360, 4 years after its original release.

EDIT: NVM. I reread lol. Why would they make another remaster for the PS4 when the PS3 is already one? Is it suppose to be EVEN better? Or they are just trying to milk it to other systems?
mostly milk.

PS3 gives 720p +AA or 1080p w/o AA, occasional lag
My guess: PS4 will likely do 1080p + AA w/o lag. Maybe slightly better shaders and a few small compromises done away with.
