[IGN] Report : The Elder Scrolls Online Pulled from More Australian Stores - Page 3

I doubt it will end out well for them. I think they should do more trials and incentives to try the game out.... create Refer a Friend bonuses and rewards. If you go F2P, you get more users, but those users you gain are probably the ones to not buy anything.

It may be that FF14 is just cursed. I hope they were able to recupe most of their losses from this game. I would like to see more FF mmo's in the future. They just need to find the right formula to make an awesome MMO.

another bad MMO (whole genre sucks really) with a big franchise name attached to it that was doomed from it's inception. it's best not to linger on it.

I'm playing the game daily and there's tons of people actively playing the game on the North American Mega server.

I'm not sure if any here providing very polar opinions have even played it to level cap. There's plenty to do from level 1 all the way to level 50. then Veteran content can keep you busy again from VR1 to VR14.

They are about to change the level 50 Veteran system and retool it as a "Champion System" as the go forward model. I applaud this for several reasons I won't go into here.

Additionally the Justice System is pending as well. You have a justice meter on the UI that can become visible depending on your actions. Say you kill some farmer ladies chickens near a town, she yells for the guards...Your Justice meter has risen from moderate criminal to "Kill on sight" because of your rampage. The meter degrades over time and it depends on your reputation. This will be really interesting especially as you can pickpocket too.

PVP - Can be insanely fun.

Occasional huge lag. The only time I see PVP lag is when there's a huge 120 vs 120 person Zerg at a keep seige. They've taken some steps to enhance performance and I haven't had no where near as much lag lately in huge battles.

I do wish the PVP zones were setup to spread home lands further apart.(Cough DAoC) It's a large land, but circular and sandbox. Tactics are someone limited like GW2, and once you figure it out like Tic Tac Toe, it hard to make headway that isn't obvious.

PVE - There's tons of content for everyone in Outdoor and indoor Dungeons, and they seem to be releasing content as expected.

Like:

- I love the ability for all 4 classes to use all weapons, so the build-outs are as varied as you could imagine.

Don't like:

- Balance (Read every MMO) - Damn Dragon Knights seem the only complete class. That said maybe they are too complete.

Excellent Crowd control in dungeons and PVP (check)

Excellent Damage (check)

Excellent Self Heals (check)- The quote in zone chat by peeps that figure out the Dragon Knight optimal PVE mechanics always state "Weee, I can't be killed  Muhahahaha".

I Preorderd this game after playing the beta, was very dissapointed that many of the bugs in beta were still there at release and some persist to this day with the likes of grouping and instance mess ups.

will play if it does go F2P but will not pay a cent for it anymore for what they had given us. very sour taste

I'd be interested in F2P, but I don't have much time for multiplayer games anymore. I used to love MMOs, but that was back when I didn't have any other games so I'd just focus on that MMO all the time. Maybe when the next big MMO comes out (other than the few big players like WoW right now) I"ll start playing MMOs seriously again.

Honestly I can't see why anyone would pay the full price (59 plus 15 a month) to play this game. Aside from the lack luster reviews you will end up paying almost three times the price of a normal release price after just 6 months of play. I have played the crap out of all the Elder Scrolls games since Elder Scrolls 3 on the original Xbox. I was extremely disappointed in this iteration. I may give it a shot if it goes free-to-play. Although I bet that a whole lot of players that have paid the full price plus the monthly since release will feel a bit cheated.
