Hello I am trying to decide the best COA for upgrade path to get VT-d support.

Current rig:

4770k @4.5ghz
16GB RAM
SATA III

The upgrade path here would be to a 4790K which would cost around $280 and gives roughly 11,245 internet points at stock

The other option is taking a dual 1366 socket motherboard and use it with new cpu ram and heatsinks:

Dual X5675 ES @ 3.06Ghz
24GB ECC Reg RAM
SATA II (only 1 PCI-E x16 G2, though I think there is an x8 onboard as well for 2nd raid controller)

This would cost $460 and yields 13198 internet points at stock

Which would be the best upgrade path? The second method gives me a spare machine for future use but the 4790k route would be simpler.

Thanks,
