Is 8 Pin Power x 2 better than 6 pin Power x 2?

Thread Starter
As the title states I was wondering if 8 pin power was better than 6 pin power on GPU. As far as I know 6 pin is capable of pulling a max of 75w while 8 pin will pull 150w? So wouldn't that mean theoretically that a 8pin power GPU would be capable of better OCing since theres more power draw from the card over a 6 pin? Of course I'm not completely sure about this and this is why I'm asking. Also would this even apply to Maxwell architecture since they're supposedly more "power efficient" anyway? Thanks for any help guys and girls!

There is more to it than power connectors. I'm not a GPU overclocker and don't know too much about the topic, but if we are only talking about power connecters, that only mean the GPU is capable of pulling more power and not necessarily able to use that power better.
