LOL, no thats not it. I build A lot of computers for work and purchase a lot of gpus, cpus etc that come with free games. Its a fringe benefit I guess. I have given several away on here too. because I already own everything nvidia and amd have given away for free over the last few years. A curse I know.

Better than discussing the forbidden alternative that some people chose to do to obtain games.

BUT back on topic peoples. 970 sli? I would as I love my 970 even with the suspected issues and I am keeping hopes up that the 3.5gb vram "issue" will be fixed in a month if not sooner. Maybe longer but as i said. high hopes.

The real question is what are your goals?

I know sometimes I get the itch to upgrade when I don't even need to. Are you trying to run 120fps? 4k? etc..

On the other hand, since I went crossfire I feel completely confident that I can still skip another generation. Until there is a single card that offers at least 25% improvement over my setup I am not even phased.

Go for Sli 970s it is a amazing amount of power. I went from 4 680s to 2 970s and waiting on my3rd. Big gain over my 4way setup.
the 970s have lower tdp, and load temps compared to the previous gens, i'd say do it.

970 SLI is BEAST!... http://www.3dmark.com/fs/3797501
