Great guide!

Question: To run a 64-bit SMP Guest OS, does the Host OS need to be 64-bit as well? I.e, Can I run SUSE 64-bit SMP Guest on an XP 32-bit Host? (The VMware utility determines that my Q6600 is 64-bit compatible).

I have 32-bit XP running VMWare and it runs 64-bit SUSE perfect. Yes.

Nice guide

Small addition: Perhaps you should say that the CD iso files can also be used, and you can use "VM > Removable devices" to change the ISO during installation

I hope bdatillo updates this for people like me that are slitt rather ignorant to Linux for the new ./fah6
I learned the ./fah6 -smp command already, but I do hope the download and such isn't an issue...

You need to log out of Suse and log back in with the user name: "root" without the quotations. Use the password you entered during the Suse instalation and you will be good.
