Ok, thanks to kc-tr I have the IIS installed so now the VMware loaded...
My problem is no matter where I put the ISO it keeps telling me the Virtual MAchine is not Configed correctly.
The IOS was on an External USB, so I tried moving it to the C: and no go!
I've tried the default CD-ROM IDE 0:1 and the other options or 0:0, 1:1 and 1:0 to no avail. I understand what those are for but I tried the others anyway!
Mem allocation increase of no help.
Yes I did indicate a Dual Core.
So I'm stuck!

Well...
After a reboot the VMware now wants a Valid "Host Name" "User Name" and "Password"
Since I've never imputed one anywhere in VMwear, what is next?

Ok... back to using a Local Host and it let me in no HN, UN or PW.
I still get the VM config file is invalid

Just rechecked the ISO, it's the correct x86_64

I'm sure I selected Suse64 but in checking the config, it only offers Suse in the Virtual Machine Option Tab.
Folder for the Vitrual Machine is...
"C:\\Virtual Machines\\SUSE Linux 64-bit\\SUSE Linux 64-bit.vmx"

After the 3rd try it's loading Suse as I type.
Not a clue as to why it was being difficult, I did nothing different, simply followed the direction in this Post.
ATM the load is in a "Boot from local machine..." with the curser dancing all over the screen.
I gave up on it for now ... never seems to get past the "Boot from local machine... and the wacko curser!

bdattilo REP+ again for the excellent FAQ.

I don't know if you want to edit this, but, for me, I had to set the VMware ethernet setting to NAT instead of Bridged to resolve the DNS/Hostname issue i was haveing in SUSE. I have the pretty basic internet set up so i imagine most will need to do the same. The FAQ doesn't say one way or the other, but, has a picture with it set on Bridged.

Thanks again for a great FAQ.

This happens to me every time I try to start it, if it starts doing it again, just open and close vmare a couple of times and it should let you go on under "local host", If it's being stubborn though (lol) reboot and try again. It always works for me.

I'm past that.... it gets to the Suse Splash Screen. then goes to a "Suse 64 Bit (3) Screen with "Booting from local disk..." and seems to hang there with the cursed dancing all over the place.
