Overclocking the Zotac GTX 970 ZT-90101-10P - Page 5

You would have to ask around. All I know is what I can see, and I don't see good airflow to graphics cards. It would be basically perfect for blower coolers, but the big multi-fan graphics coolers would get choked.

That's a link to my imgur account. You can see my rig there, but i have changed the orientation of my PCIe fan to above my graphics card (to the top PCIe slot) and moved my graphics card down to the second x16 slot. Everything else is the same. As you can see, I have a VERY well ventilated case and I still get the temperatures I get. The only thing I havent done is water cooling for my graphics card. But I have put a Corsair H105 on my FX-9590 and it runs very cool compared to the Cooler Master V8 I had on it first.

Creeper, I know HW Monitor does not seem to be working properly, and it isn't. At least not for my GPU clock speeds, I have no idea why. All I use it for anyway is to monitor temperatures, so I'm chuffed aside from that.

Well, I have to go to class now. It's ~9:30 am where I live (Texas, USA). I will be back home in a couple hours.

Sincerely,
CRS10114

Uhh, not showing any images there. In fact, that link is a 404.
@idjekyll is the one with a bad case for airflow, sorry if you got that mixed up.
You know that you can add images to your rig here on OCN? I need to get some good lighting and take a photo of Rosie with the side off, show you some serious airflow biggrin.gif

Whoops, here is the correct one: http://crs10114.imgur.com/all/

I will put pictures of my rig on here eventually, but I don't have the time today.

Hi guys,

My driver keeps giving this error message in game after OC : Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered.
I did however uninstall 358.50 and clean install 355.98 with DisplayDriverUninstaller in safe mode. Not so often crash as 358.50.

I've Core i7 6700K, 8 GB memory and Zotac GTX 970 ZT-90101-10P with original cooler.
Nvidia Driver version 355.98 (most stable version I know)
Msi Afterburner version 4.0.0 (most stable version I know)
Windows 10 Pro 64bit

My stable OC:

Core Voltage +7
Power Limit 104
Core Clock +135
Memory Clock +60
Fan Speed 70%

Do you know what's wrong? Could you please tell me your version of Nvidia driver and Firestorm/Afterburner?

Many thanks.

Unfortunately, I no longer have my GTX 970. Perhaps Creeper still does. I can't really help you in terms of overclocking that card anymore, but it sounds like your overclock is unstable.

I recommend lowering your clock speeds and running benchmarks (Heaven is my favorite). Once you've run some benchmarks without crashing your driver, try running some demanding games and see what comes of it.

Hopefully that helps, sorry about your dilemma. If there's anything else you need me to elaborate on, please ask.

Cheers,
CRS10114

Thanks for reply CRS10114.

What version Nvidia driver and msi afterburner do you use?

I do hope someone can share their experiences on this card and OC.
If anyone know please share your knowledge.

Thanks.
