I have the asus 7970 matrix platinum edition and im having some issues with the load settings with the gpu. The card never seems to go into high performance mode, this is when the light on the matrix part located on the side of the gpu changes colour. It seems to never get out of idle mode, when the light is green. This results in low fps on most games, for the gpu to be at maximum load the lights need to be red but ive only go it to be red when running a stress test. Please let me know id there is any software available for this problem, many thanks
Luke.
and yes i have already posted this, i just want a fix for this as i know the card has so much potential but it never reaches it maximum load, i dont know if its my cpu causing this or what but i just need some help!!!!!!

all games like lol, minecraft and csgo. It just stays in idle mode and runs at a very low load, even when i play battlefield it only runs in medium mode giving me 40 fps on ultra. Still not happy with that as the card is clearly capable on doing much more.
The VRM are the voltage regulator amd the temperature is shown at gpu z sensor tab or in hwinfo64.if it is high the card will throttle.also if your oc isnt stable the card will throttle

im using ccc atm, but ive used radeonpro and msi afterburner. my clock speeds are fine now it runs at 1200 mhz, but the gpu load is always low and i cant get it high.

Ok, then I would switch to using AB. Open catalyst control center, click on preferences, click restore factory defaults.
Then follow the steps in this post to configure AB. Make sure to reboot each time AB asks then continue. Once completed, setup your OSD so you can track your gpu and vrm temps, usage, clocks etc in games. Let us know how it goes.

I wouldn't be concerned unless temps vrm temps go over 90c. This would mean your specific vrm cooling is falling behind. making it no better than air cooling. And much further above 90c and it starts to throttle.
But the low load results in 40 fps on all of them games. Forcing load on a application in the background wouldn't solve it as it's the load on the game
