I was wondering if the coating of the mionix avior 7000 will wear off over time, like the coating of the ss rival.

I have had mine for a few months now and i have yet to notice any issues with the coating

Have had mine for over a year and coating has held up well.

That's good to hear. Are the side buttons disturbing you? I heard they stick out a lot.

I find the coating very slippery. A **** mouse for fps-gaming in my eyes.

Then something is wrong with yours. My hands sweat a lot, and my Naos doesn't remotely slip out of my hands. I'm quite sure that the Avior uses the same coating as the naos. As for the longevity of the coating, the coating on my 2 1/2 year old Naos 5000 still hsan't remotely worn off.

Not at all, The buttons are not in the way for me when i game or when i do other tasks on my computer. But we all have different grips so cant be 100% sure it wont affect you, but probably not.

I've never misclicked a side button on either side, but that's with my grip style. I can see how some ( a lot) could could them annoying. I've had my mionix avoir for about 4 months now and my acid hands haven't killed the coating.

If your fingers claw in enough no matter what grip you use the side buttons won't be too annoying.
