Thermal Throttling (My Worst Nightmare) - Page 5

Two small 40mm or 60mm fans may work, You may even have to remove your CPU cooler in order to nest them behind it. Your problem is pretty common, and you just have to devise a workaround.

If you are seriously considering a different motherboard, understand that almost any board not named "Sabertooth" or "Crosshair" can have this issue, and even users of those boards are running VRM fans to overclock 4.5GHz and up.....

Aha, I understand. I checked and I noticed that the CPU cooler is blocking the VRM's. So what I have to do now I remove it and then put the fan on the VRM's and put the cooler on top of it... Right?

ASRock boards are very good as the amount of fan headers are concerned.

Yes. I don't know what you have for a cpu cooler. You have to unscrew it and have the backside of your case off to make sure the backplate stays in place. That is assuming your case hase a cpu socket cutout.
