My weekend mornings as a kid were usually spent with my dad in the couch watching New Yankee Workshop and This Old House with Norm Abrams. Good times.

I remember watching This Old House from time to time, but don't remember watching many of the others. Still haven't gotten into New Yankee Workshop or This Old House, too much electron killing for me biggrin.gif lol

Quick teaser, things are moving along... hope for another update tomorrow, if I can get some more picture processing done tonight...

Beautiful work. May I ask what kind of wood it is?

A few little things before the re-assembly of the case…

Mosquito_Victorian_Wooden_Desktop_G.Skill_DSC03695.jpg

First, the case feet I picked up, but forgot to share pictures of.

I got the rear panel painted. I used ‘Antique Bronze’.
It’s not black, I promise lol

I also painted a few of the screws that will be visible.

Mmmm hide glue.

I got the dovetails glued up on the top and bottom,
as well as gluing the internal motherboard mount in place.

And I got finish applied to the wood parts.
I used Dark Walnut Danish Oil. I’m quite pleased with the color.
I’ll be leaving it like this, with no top coat, as it fits the look better, I think.

Thanks for checking it out! I’ll be reassembling the case tonight, and getting some of the parts installed, so I look forward to sharing that progress soon smile.gif
