Thermaltake Core X Case Owners Club: X1, X2, X9, X9 Snow Ed. - Page 21

Are there any wheels or casters out yet that would work with this case? I noticed there are 4 threaded screw holes under each foot that looks like are designed to support wheels. I'm about to measure the sizing and see if I can find something online that'll fit, just wondering if it's on the roadmap or if anyone knows if it's a standard size.

Edit: it looks like the hole spacing is 1" inch apart arranged in a square. Haven't found anything that's close online yet.

iirc it was mentioned that you can by standard casters size and it should work (but i don't know what is the standard).

Yeah, I found these, and from what I can find the mounting hole spacing is 1":

http://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Wheels-Rotating-Wheelchair-Caster/dp/B00HGANJDC/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1423543226&sr=8-5&keywords=universal+square+caster#productDetails

based on this site:

http://www.twin-wheel-casters.com/40mm_twin_wheel_hooded_caster_with_top_plate-TWHN-40N-P02-BK.php

Gonna try to find something somewhere else since Amazon only has 2 in stock. Thanks!

Edit: Found these, which based on comments should work: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XAP2O6/ref=ox_huc_add_on_msg_title_1?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER

And these:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000DD1FN/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000DD1FO/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER (locking)

Edit: For anyone else that comes along this post, I can verify that the last two links do work on this case, and are pretty nice sized wheels that feel like they'll hold up well. A little expensive, but I needed something quick. The cheaper set of wheels at the top should work just the same.

I feel that pain! Mine was pretty beat up too when I got the box. Almost did not take accept the delivery. This was on the windows side:

Mounted the SSD sideways attached to the bottom (Click to show)
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I am built for now. I went over budget by a few dollars, and it will probably be another month or two before I can go any further.

Still to do as funds allow:
1.Ram Sinks (White?)
2.Waterblocks for the 980s
3.Rigid acrylic
4.Lighting
5.Mod smoked glass viewing pane where the 5 1/4 bays are (already have the materials, this will probably happen first)
6.Cable sleeveing

I got mine yesterday. The box made my wife wonder what exactly have I bought, and then loose any faith in my sanity when I unpacked it. Of course, my cats are bound to love the top vents, once I install the fans blowing hot air up.

The case is a beautiful piece of equipment, no doubts about it, and I'm going to enjoy building my system in it, but to be honest, I find some parts of the design puzzling, like the relatively small amount of 3.5 drives in each cage (I know it would compromise airflow, but I'm pretty sure I'd be able to stuff four in each, instead of three), or lack of space for drives in front of the motherboard tray, with the exception of the 5.25 drive bay. Perhaps I'm a HDD junkie, but I'd ditch the 5.25 bay completely, and add an optional mounting kit for putting more drives behind the upper 20 cm fan.

Still, it's a beast. Wouldn't trade it for anything else (apart from Caselabs stuff which is way out of my price range).
