Also sometimes LED strips (RGB) strips aren't always needed, you can go with quality UV strips and UV reactive fans/cables to make the guts of the case look black and only the cables and fans pop with color. This is what I did.. None of my fans have LED's in them, only UV. This creates for a darker look inside the case which will allow you to not highlight cables that you don't want to be seen. I still have a RGB, but often never have it on, I don't like alot of ambient light bleeding into my room.

Here's a pic w/ the white RGB strip off, notice how black the case looks, also the rear LED fans were running at 35% power so the LED's were super dim....

The way the top mesh panel is divided into (2) mesh parts it might not look the best or function that well w/ the 200's on top.

I'd do 6x120's for the top, that would look the best and would align up nicely w/ the mesh on the top panel giving you better airflow.

On the X5 it also looks like you can probably fit a 140 or 120 above the 200 on the front panel, but I didn't like the way it looked due to the mesh being a different texture, so I removed the 140 I had on the top and blacked the top out w/ cloth tape making the bottom 200 pop out and look much much cleaner...

Hmm, could work, but thats alot of fans to install, do you suggest a fan controller?

lol, yes of course... this thing would sound like a jet if you didn't run a fan controller. I've got almost all of my fans running extremely quite close to 500rpm, with 19 fans you can barely hear it running.

What kind of hardware are you going to have in this case?

What's your budget on fans, does PerformancePCS ship to Denmark?

You can find some great fans for very cheap on this website.

the current plan is a 6600k overclocked to around 4.6ghz and r9 390 with a future plan of crossfire.

about the fan budget, i would really like to keep it somewhat lower then usual smile.gif the be quiet setup i have now was pretty pricey.

so i was thinking maybe 60-70 bucks to start with, with plans of future expansion.

and from what i can see performance pc does not ship here, and even if they did i would probaly get hosed in customs again :/

Ya when you end up getting a 390 crossfire you will see great results w/ this case if you have the fans blowing air directly onto the cards. It's one of the few cases that can keep a hot crossfire/sli setup cool.

My AC RYAN fans on top were only $6.50 each from PerformancePCS, and the Apevia UV Green 140's on bottom and rear were $8.00 from newegg, the 200mm Apevia UV Green was the most expensive it was $16.

how does this sound:

For the first period i use the 3 120mm Be quiet! fans in the top (towards the gpu), 140mm in the back and a 200mm in the front

That would be perfect for now. Good idea. The X5 does come w/ (2) 120's also, so you can probably work those into the mix...

This is a great little fan controller that lets you cut down rpm to 40% on your fans when the switch is set to low...

im so very limited for controllers / regulators :/

i cant find anything like that one.... the closest is this:

http://www.amazon.com/Phobya-4-Pin-Splitter-Power-Eight/dp/B00OD7MO6E/ref=pd_sim_sbs_147_4?ie=UTF8&dpID=41o1gwZoDTL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=0TMNHSVWR4J2G5Y5D0D8

but ofc that would only work with PWM :/

The easiest would be ModMyToys version: http://www.modmytoys.com/pcb.html
Also, PWM usually works with 3-pin, unless there is something active in it.

got my x9 case a month ago just found the time to open up the box

wondering how many two fan brackets come with it? I got one not two

I love it more than Air540 (baby cube) and Benifix Atlas (not out, too expensive)
