I will go for the radiator on the top. I would prefer 60mm but if I check the measurements...:
- GPU height (Gigabyte GTX970 G1) -> 129mm
- space for the 6+8-pin power connectors -> 20mm
- space between mobo and GPU because of the PCI-e slot -> 15mm
- radiator + push-fans -> 85mm

= 249mm

Well... Even a 45mm rad would be damn close...
Has anyone experience with top-radiators, especially 45mm ones?

Thanks again!
Dude
You can get a Alphacool NexXxoS Monsta in the roof and still get GPU with everything under it.
It just require planning and doble checking all measurements.

Monsta 480, 86mm thick, sp120 25mm, there's about 10mm from the bridge to the fan:

I'm using Koolance shrouds to stick a bank of fans on top of each monsta.

His card is about 9mm wider, so he would only have 1mm clearance with the same setup. But sounds like a 60 should fit.

Good thing this measurements thing was brought up, I wanted to use a swiftech H240-x on the window side of the case, but it is 115mm, so that won't fit by a large margin. 244mm total, guess I need to move it to over the processor or go full custom. I could also put it over the middle two fans as well I guess.

Can you disable the front 200mm fans LEDs? Or am I up for new fans in the front?

I dont see any reason that should not fit, as long as you can mount it using 120mm or 140mm fan holes.

Unless they changed it, so dont it come with a led fan. The blue fan is just for promo pics.

Vertical space from the motherboard tray to the roof isn't enough, my card is 129mm, the rad/pump/res combo is 115mm. I can mount it over the CPU but not over the GPU.

I started my build and yup, need to order some parts from the Thermaltake store. Mostly more fan brackets. So I might as well get a vented side panel too. But of course they are out of side panels, so that order has to wait.

One question came up as I was planning the wiring layout. I picked up the NZXT hue controller to make my life a bit simpler and match the variable lighting in my Phantom 820 case. The thick rubber LED strip is enough to loop around the case once, but the thickness means it doesn't really handle corners well. This means it needs to be laid out vertically as opposed to horizontally along the bottom. Now as versatile as this case is that may be a problem.

The ideal location for the strip would be the top to cast light down. But I think the only practical locations is looped around at the bottom or mid point of the case. Looping around the bottom could interfere with the fan maintenance and the power supply. I am wondering if looping it around the middle (where the support is) would cause any difficulties.

Hmmm, the quote indicates you're asking a question about clearance (and not chiobe), ??? Your gb gpu is about standard width, Chiobe is wider, and my dual 295x2 are standard width (up to the slot). So, are you looking for how much space is there? I'm a bit confused from this reply tbh.

Sorry, I thought you meant side mounted under the motherboard tray.
129mm + 115mm should leave you with 6mm spare space, as the case supports a 250mm CPU cooler.
So you can fit it, it just takes some planning.
