Hi everyone ! This is my first post and I need help !!! This is my first water cooled rig so I ripped apart my huge Cosmos 2 and going with a Corex9 .. I spent a truck ton at Koolance and I'm all set .. I ran distiller water thru and no leaks thank god ... Now I need to mount my Reservoir and I need help !!!!

I know this case is huge but I see no easy spots to mount the Reservoir

Here is what I'm working with please give me idea

Wow. Started taking off the sides after lining things up. I pull the panel from the side and the bottom half shears off.

It looks like instead of being one solid piece the front sides are clipped in to the front face. That is a horrible design decision. Mine failed right now, and maybe it is how I pulled it or just a flaw in the material, but I can only imagine that it could happen to anyone over time if they remove the front frequently. If you are modding your case or maintaining your rig I have to imagine you will be doing this several times a year.

Only thing I can say is use two hands and pull lightly on top and bottom.

If you dont plan on moving the case, so will a zip-tie work. Just secure it to the side bar.

What I have done, is to drill some holes in the front wall and secure it that way.
Depending on your reservoir-pump combo, so should there be some mounting option with/for it.

^ this

you should be able to purchase brackets for the pump and find a good spot on that front wall. There are actually plenty of slotted spots and hole for mounting just that type of thing, but you need to have the right bracket....or like Chiobe said...zip tie it.

(hindsight), I'm sure you're supposed to pull from the bottom. I've done like this since i got mine. At first, it felt i was gonna break something, but its worked.

Sorry about the delay guys, The list has been updated.

I've been contemplating getting a different case as well as just making my own. In the end, I've decided to keep my X9 and just keep pushing it biggrin.gif. I'll have updates in the next week or two as stuff gets delivered.

Edit: anyone bought a vented panel from the store? Site has them out of stock.

I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on the Core x9 Snow edition, and after going through all 18 pages, I was wondering a couple things:

1) I take it the window is typical "cheap plastic", like most all other cases. How hard would it be to grind out the nubs to hold the plastic in, and drop in a sheet of either tempered glass or high quality acrylic?

2) Is there any after market side panels? Specifically, I'd love to have a window on the top ONLY on both sides, and the bottom part of the sides to have vent holes (and to help hide components in the bottom).

3) I see where some people have put dual radiators on the bottom (one person even put dual 480's and relocated the PSU). Can you mount say a 480 on one side and a 240 on the other side on the bottom and still have room to put a standard sized PSU (Say a SeaSonic 1000w, which is about 9" long with 1.5" of wire clearance)? Call me crazy, but I'd really like to keep all the water in the case BELOW the level of the motherboard, cpu, memory, and video cards. I think it would just look cleaner. Also, since I need ALL the external 5.25" drive bays, I can't mount anything on the front.

Yes to 3) ., I've got psu and monster 240 on one side, 480 on other side and a 30 mm , 360 rad in front with fans outside case ,
Like idea 2)... Once spare panels become available I want another window panel

I plan on replacing with tempered glass and frosting the bottom half to really sell the winter theme. Though probably not in my initial build.

1. Yes, typical cheap plastic. I will let you be the master of your own destiny, and just show you a picture of the mounting hardware for the panel.
Side Panel Mounting hardware (Click to show)

2. There are replacement panels for both sides. However, I dont know if side panels for the snow edition will be made available, and I have not seen anybody selling 1/2 panels.

3. I have a 480+240 in the bottom, along with a standard sized 1000W PSU (NZXT Hale90V2). There is enough room for your 30mm, so long as you put the fans on the front of the wall.

I hope they are, two Windows would look great with the snow edition. However my thermaltake power supply has been processing for 5 days now, not very happy with their web shop.
