Sony has recently announced that it will end the support for PlayStation Vita's Maps and near features in a forthcoming system update.
The March firmware partch will automatically be removed while near will lose its ability to obtain locations or display maps at all. Including the YouTube app will stop having updates and the app will no longer be available to download from today, 28th January but Vita still can play Youtube clips by using the browse.
As much as I don't care much about this news as a Vita owner, it is also a sucky move. If it wasn't for 3rd party games, Vita would have been dead already.
The Vita should of been THE handheld when it came out, but somehow, it wasn't. I can only imagine what Nintendo could of accomplished with a handheld with similar specs to the PS Vita.

3DS did good for itself, was not a fan of the DS at all. But was a huge 3DS fan.
The System has just good enough graphics to make games stand out aesthetically pleasing. As the Art style used in most games just shows that.
For the Vita, you are playing games that look like washed out PS3 versions. Hardly will you find a game that uses a art style that really appeals to the Vita hardware.
Though seeing how fast Sony gave up on PSP users, still have mine, it won't be surprising if the vita gets the same treatment.
