I went with the SLI because I like the all black look and MSI has warranty support in Canada.

want to get the best X99 mobo without breaking my wallet

things i want - Intel Nic , 8-12 power phases for benching , needs 4 SATA ports

things idc about - Sound ( have soundblaster-z , "gaming" branded mobo), M2 support , fan/ software support ( have fan controller)

I dont really wanna spend more than $450 on a mobo

PS : live in australia so everything is expensive
Good vid on ASRock , this guy always has good vids that seem pretty unbiased , he's Aus ...here's his vid on X99---> https://youtu.be/QVeyR47vZRA

OP... I was never an ASROCK fan but i've got to say this board has been amazing and I am a new fan. I wanted to grab a RAMPAGE V EXTREME ASUS board but it wasn't officialy supported in my case and I saw the K1ller and i'm glad I made that choice.

edited to add: I am pretty sure all x99 boards will give similar performance (unless extreme oc'ing)
