Hi again,

so after cutting the 2nd hole into the top panel, it's just a mess! I think you agree. jealoussmiley.gif

I thought of this being a lost project and a lost case but than I saw a picture here and I have ordered that same radiator bracket. This one might save my a**! I dont know why I was not going for THAT solutuion from the beginning thinking.gif

Hope my case is coming out fine now thumb.gif

Nothing a black Sharper wouldn't sort out ... would not be noticeable under that grill tongue.gif

I don't leave it like that. Some dremel action should get rid of the middle section of the top lid. rolleyes.gifthumb.gif

Just receieved my Metis case in white. It looks so cute and small.
Decided to quit watercooling for now as I got bored of it and will convert my current system into MITX.
Will try to fit 140mm PSU, full size GPU and Raijintek Ereboss cooler. From my calculations it should fit, but may require litle modifications.
Will make custom size cables to make things easier.

Yea, I have seen that.
My biggest doubt is if PSU will fit and not touch the GPU.

it will depend on your psu. you better go with a modular atx-psu or even better, sfx! you don't even need an atx-sfx-converter to mount the sfx psu.

Sounds a lot like my build, except I used a Styx instead of the Metis. I have a Silverstone Strider Platinum 550, which is 140mm, and a full sized 980ti and there is no fit issues. I also have the Ereboss Core Edition cooler in there as well. I've been thinking of switching to the Metis though, so you'll have so make sure you post pics when you're done

Seems to be a late starter with the Raijintek Metis.

Hopes to get mine, a silver with window a couple of days after the Easter holidays

Will fill it with an i3-7100+H270 MB+8GB ram
1 SSDs OCZ 120GB with Mint LMDE2 for home office work+1 OCZ 240GB with Win7 and games.

The comp will replace the "retiree comp" in my sign (and a Laptop).
Will take the FD Integra 450W of 140mm length PSU + MSI Aero 1060 3G OC GPU + CoolerMaster 212Evo CPU cooler, from that comp.

There seems to be overheating problems with the Metis, can it be cured by using the 120mm fan pushing in cold air going thru the CPU cooler into the PSU and out thru the downward facing PSU exhaust?
Or will worsening the heating problems?

bought the Metis as I want a portable, that can hook up with screens the office desk in our sleeping room and also carried to the livining room and using the TV-set for gaming.
Will the top cover be sturdy enough to hold a carrying handle and without the case falling apart?

Haven't decided on that handle but something like that one, screwed on the top cover.
See ifthe black back plate will be painted white or silver...

Finished my Metis this morning. It was pretty interesting to build in. I would say that hardest part is securing the Ereboss cooler because it is so damm big, and mounting system is not the best.
I removed PSU bracket and routed PSU cable extension underneath the case to the back, which allowed me to use the PSU (managed to secure with 1 screw and some double sided tape).
I am surprised about the temperatures, especially since I am coming form fully watercooled computer. CPU does not go over 65c! (it is delided though)
Here is a full part list:
Case: Raijintek Metis (Doh!)
CPU: i7 4790k
CPU Cooler: Raijintek Ereboss
Motherboard: Asus H81i-Plus (I wanted a Z97 ITX board but could not find it anywhere in Latvia or UK at the point)
RAM: 2x8GB Kingston HyperX Savage
SSD1: Crucial 250GB M.2, using M.2 to SATA adapter as this board does not have M.2 slot.
SSD2 and SSD3: 480GB OCZ
PSU: Silverstone ST70F-PB, changed default fan to Parvum fan and made custom length cables
GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0
FAN: Parvum F1.0 White

I think that is all, somehow I managed to cram all that in there.. rolleyes.gif

Here are some pics:
