Why? When you have a perfect example of a LAN carry device that is low profile and looks dope. biggrin.gif lulz

Nope, the Cooler master 120xl doesn't fit completely. I had to remove 1 fan and put the other one on the outside. The CPU block is too high and hits the radiator/fan.

An update on my build..

I ended up with the Thermaltake Water 3.0 Performer C teamed up with a Noctua FAN. It was the smallest Asetek AIO i could get my hands on. I inverted the rad and it fits perfect with good clearance on both ends. Temps and noise are great with no mods. GPU ~ 70c under gaming load and CPU ~40c under load. the MB gets to the low 50's i tried the rad fan both ways it didnt make much difference. Anyway im happy. its a neat little build will post some specs and pics soon.

This might sound crazy, but does anyone know if something like a 980ti hybrid or fury X will fit into this case with the rad going to the only 120mm mount?
Does anyone have any experience with one of these 3 ideas:
- 120mm AIO rad on the back of the case instead of inside to keep the heat outside
- 120mm AIO rad on the bottom of the case blowing the heat to the outside of the case
- Double size rad in the top (obviously without running dedicated GPU) with some modification (big hole)

Looks like the Cooler Master 120 does fit after all!

It allows me to utilize the top for at least a single 120mm fan, in addition to the PSU being mounted there, as well as a pump and/or res mounting off the 120mm fan. There's a lot of options, but a Monsta in push/pull is pretty wide so I'm sure how it'd be configured. Given the length of the case, I'm honestly not sure how feasible the idea is - but, given the cost of the case, not too much out of pocket if it doesn't work.

I did exactly that when moving from a prodigy mini itx case to the metis.
I Inverted the motherboard and modded the case slightly to allow for mounting of a second radiator that i use to watercool the gpu.
This is basically my first real case mod and i's very much DIY but it works surprisingly well.
I ghetto mounted a Thermaltake Water 3.0 onto the GPU. For the CPU I'm using a Corsair H80i.
It's very cramped in there and assembly was a ***** but it was great fun.

Hardware :
Asus P8z77 i deluxe motherboard
3570K overclocked to 4,2 Ghz
8GB Corsair Vengeance Ram
Galax GTX 970 Black (itx version)
Full size 550W Be Quiet Power Supply

Temps are pretty good considering the overclock and size of the case.
Max temps are 60 on the CPU and 70 on the gpu.
I had to make a few concessions while drilling the vent holes at the top of the case. Because of the daughterboard on the motherboard i wasn't able to place the fan in the center but rather had to position it to the front and side as far as possible. Unfortunately that also meant I had to remove the front audio and USB ports.
Lastly I also had to remove the heatspreader from the two ram modules, as they interfered with the radiator.
Overall I'm pretty happy especially considering this is my first attempt at a case mod.

Hi Everyone,

after 2 months on watching mini itx set-ups i've made my choice. I was pissed off by my old 10 year laptop, and i wanted to return with a desktop pc.

I wanted it small , so after few research i've come up with this metis. In some days i'll get all the gears and i will post some photos , so i wanted to share with you.

This is my set-up:

Metis (ofc)

Silverstone sfx 600

Corsair H75 120mm aio

i5-6600k

16gb (8x2) ddr4-3000 (corsair)

samsung 850 evo 500gb

asus z170 pro gaming mini itx

Gpu: i'm just going with the integrated intel for few months (i just needed a daily driver for now) , then i'm thinking at an 970 mini
