Nice work, Roppard. I like that blue/green colour scheme and the wide res is nice because it still leaves you good GPU clearance, but still stores a fair bit of excess liquid.

In addition, the blue LEDs on the fans and front seem to add a UV effect to the green liquid.

Great Job!

Very nice Pharcyide. It looks like you are going twin barrel carbs......errr reservoirs. Looking forward to more progress. After seeing your pics I'm very tempted to make a new PSU shroud myself, just no TUF logo. I don't want to steal any of your TuF thunder.

Thank you very much! I am glad you like it smile.gif

There are actually 2 LED fans (top and rear) plus a blue LED strip at the top of the case. It makes a really nice effect. At first I was worried how it gonna look, if the green will fit with the blue, but I think it came out pretty nice and I am happy about it.

Only shame are those 2 red strips on GPU together with the yellow power cables. I will remove the reference cooler and try to ghetto-water-cool it just as I mentioned in previous post, but I need to figure something out about those yellow cables... I am curious what temp I will be getting on my R9 290... Core temp will be probably good, but I am worried about the VRMs... But it will be fun anyway biggrin.gif

The good thing is, that it is really budget-friendly loop. This thing cost me around 130e, plus if everything goes according to my plans with cooling the GPU, I will have a CPU+GPU loop for under 200e...

And by the way, the temp of my CPU is at 50 degrees C under full load (30mins of Prime95 or OCCT), which is fine I think, considering the cheap CPU block. I am now limited by my Vrams on my MB, they are only 4+2 and I do not want to push them any further... They are already pretty hot when I touch them under load

Hey Roppard,

My friend used these Gelid sinks on the VRMs of his R9 290 and said the results were good.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835426042

For the RAM you can get generic small black heatsinks to keep those chips cool, but I don't think they need very much cooling. In the past people separated the plastic shroud from the metal plate on the stock shroud/heatsink for cooling the VRMs and RAM and put a GPU block on there, but that would be a bit less of an option due to not having the high speed fan on it to help cool the VRMs better.

I already have 2 white led corsair af140 quiet editions as intakes, I might take them back to microcenter though.

I prefer performance over sound anyway

Look forward to seeing the pics!

Also, are NOCTUA fans the best you can get?

Wondering if I upgrade all the s340 fans to Noctua, or just get two more FN V2s for the front?

Probably but obviously not many care for the tan and brown color scheme
Here is all white led nzxt fans before I installed the H5 cooler

The fan is touching the edge of the window panel, it just barely moves when sliding the panel on

Best air cooler you can get for the money and size for this case. With no changes but the H5 cooler, I went from peaking out on the Intel burn test at 75*C to 42*C. Rough average idle Temps were in the low 20's before and now I see around 11-13*C. This is all with turbo disabled and running at 4.0ghz.

I have turned up the overclock to 4.4ghz and trying to dial in the vcore and keep losing some cores on prime95. Temps have now creeped into the low 50's

Thank you mate, great shots!

I was thinking of getting the Cryorig H7 for mine since I won't be overclocking the CPU. Or do you feel the H7 is still the right choice?

Also, do the LED FANS simply light the case, or do they kinda "flicker" light around the case, as a result of the fans spinning?

Finally, do NZXT offer the FN V2 in black like the ones in my case? Or am I going to have to swap them all out for the white? I don't really mind, as like the look of white.

Final finally final maybe, is GRID+ v2 worth getting, or a waste of money with just 5 fans inside a case this size?

I feel the h5 is worth the $10 more but you may not like the size. The h7 looks to be same but the 120mm version.

With my results, I did have a second fan mounted on the back of the cooler with my 120mm case mounted fans right behind it also. With a smaller cooler and only 1 fan on it the h7 would run alittle warmer than mine but at this point anything is better than the stock setup.

I don't know which ones they sell. The led fans do have some flicker but the nzxt blades are clear plastic, I feel like they are a little brighter. I took back the 2 quiet edition af140's because they flowed less, more money, and the blades were frosted.

Here is a quick video I made showing the lights. At the end I turn off the rgb 12" led strip
https://youtu.be/-xfQPfKWK0M

If you really do not have plans of overclocking, then the H7 might be the best bet. I do recommend a second fan mounted on back for better cooling.

I also did get the grid+ v2 this weekend. I like having control of all my fans
