Working on my water cooling loop in the S340. Pretty happy with how it's turning out.

Do I qualify?

The lower speed Gentle Typhoons (1150/1450RPM) and the lower speed NoiseBlocker eLoops are my favourites.

I've just received my red/back S340 and I was hoping someone could help me out.

I'd like to switch the LEDs on the top panel from red to normal white. I plan to paint parts of the case and the red will stand out quite a bit.

I can see the circuit board under the top panel but I can't quite see how its attached. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

EDIT: I took a closer look in better light and noticed the 3 screws to remove it.

The power light would be a real b**ch to change out. I did it but I replaced it with a white 16/19mm vandal switch. I basically cut the PCB holding the power switch in and then did some hand gymnastics to get the vandal switch in, then had to cut part of the metal support bracket under the power switch area to give room, but I am using a long anti-vandal switch. A shorty would work better IMHO.

I'll try and get a photo of what I did with the assembly out tonight or tomorrow.

So I changed my fans.. (The SP120 in the back is temporary as I don't have any matching AF120s)

No harm leaving Sp120 in rear.
With a big heatsink like this, you can move gpu down a slot to allow more airflow in between.

Hello guys !

I'm new here to the s340 club ( coming from a previous bitfenix phenom m case way back June 2014 ). I wasn't that experienced way back then but this time around I want to finish my build once and for all.

My current setup is the first image that you see , I didn't do cable management on the front and back yet since I recently cleaned the system. My previous temperature with the corsair h60i cooler in the rear and 1 NXZT stock AF fan on top was around 40c just basic browsing etc.

I bought a deepcool z5 and reapplied the thermal paste, cleaned the components and temp now is around 40c. Replaced the corsair cooler fan with a corsair SP Quiet 120mm. I relocated the radiator to the front as well. The NXZT AF fan is at the rear and I'm planning to get another corsair fan/s or use the nxzt one.

So my main concerns are these >

1.) I like how the corsair sp or af fans look. In my current setup where the rad is on the front , what do you suggest for fans in rear and top ? Both AF fans or go negative pressure SP ( some guy suggested it in irc ). If I go both SP for exhaust and top, planning to get the same SP quiet fans I got for the radiator. If AF fans are required, I will get the corsair quiet AF versions. I don't want to use other brands except corsair or just use the default stock nxzt.

2.) I don't have a videocard yet and getting one would finally complete my build since I started this way back 2014. I can't buy another motherboard aside that most stocks are depleted nowadays , only the premium more expensive ones are available. So If ever I did I'd rather get a new processor + mobo combo but this I can't do. If you look at the images or this gigabyte site >

http://www.gigabyte.ph/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4970#ov

It's a microatx motherboard and I have no idea on card heights or sizes. If you look at that site or my images on top. The ram is too close to pcie16 slot ? Or this is normal ? I'm planning to get a gigabyte amp or amp extreme 1070 card. If height is an issue I'll probably go with any FE 1070.

If I use pci 8 will that offer decrease performance ?

3.) What fully modular psu do you guys suggest ? This is a future purchase because I'm considering getting a 24 pin extension ( white cable ). Or get a new psu with good sleeved cables, and add the white cables later on. I want to use cable combs with it.

I would stick your H60 in the back and add 2x140mm fans for intake. As you did not have any intake fans. As for fans the Corsair ones are not that good, if you are only go by how it looks and not how they perform.
You can out in any GPU you like as long your PSU is good enough. If you want to mod cables then you want a least good PSU like the EVGA 650w P2.

Tried moving it again but for some reason I'm having a hard time and aesthetically I like it better on the front. Now I know this placement is bad but if I decide to go with this with front rad.

exhaust + top fan = both airflow fans ? or both SP fans ?

Seeing it now I think only the 24 pin extension is necessary since the other 8pin connectors can be removed ( probably getting white ones ).

Thanks to Dave6531 for showing how he used a led strip on the cable management bar. Since I had 1 extra hue + strip and a extra channel connection , decided to use it on the bar. Going to do some serious cable management by tomorrow.
