I dont think anyone has yet. If you do it probably will need to be tempered glass, custom cut of course

Friend used a glass window. Regular glass. I wonder is it a good idea? Looks very good and clean but I have some concerns.

That does look great! If glass is going to be used, perhaps it should be tempered. The problem with normal glass is with PC's producing alot of heat and other weather conditions such as sudden cold, can compromise the stability of a sheet of glass if there are scratches, or kncks. With tempered glass, it can take alot to compromise it. InWin uses tempered glass in some of their cases. Of course the case would have to be modified. I am intrigued to see what a PC case up close and personal with a sheet of tempered glass as a side panel would look like

Hi guys. Today i Was trying to replace stock case acrylic window to a polycarbonate window using existing tabs (without drilling anything).

It was a total disaster but i will post pics anyway.

Marked every hole from stock window:

I used hot knife to create holes for tabs:

The "window" Was ready:

The final result:

Conclusion:

The tabs are too close to the visible edges and using hot knife is not a good idea. Holes are visible and making window at home by yourself my not be worth your time. At least I tryed right? I am also dissapointed with polycarbonate window schach resistant. It was schrached after 2-3 cleanings. Now I know that a glass window is the only option for me and the tabs need to be removed.

Back to stock window for now.

*It my be less visible in white case.

And sorry for my bad English.

Well more parts ordered for the loop trying couple things, scroll saw arrived so will start cutting acrylic soon. Here's couple concepts of cable sleeving I'm thinking about still trying to think of other ideas also.
should state that may go with a darker shade of grey

Here's a picture of the red hydraulic fluid used in the jets which is color of coolant planning on going with.

Also if anyone knows of sleeving that looks like stainless steel braided hydraulic line let me know.

I like the first idea and I was thinking of a darker gray. Perhaps you should do black as well in the middle. Try this link for a large assortment of colors

which one the top left? I thought of doing 4 colors but makes it little more difficult when doing the 6 pins and what not. Should mention I'll pry use black cable stays so it will have some black

Yes the left one biggrin.gif Thats true but if your card is a 6 and an 8 pin PCIe, then thats fine. If its just 6 or 8, do the other colors and leave black out. One color does not have to be in all of them, but it does help to have a theme!
