FPT_v9.1.2.1000-new.zip 500k .zip file

Once you get FPT extracted you will need to add the bios to the 64 folder in FPT and rename the bios to bios.bin.

Change the fptw64.exe to run as admin.

Then on FPT > 64 folder Shift + right click open command window here and Type: fptw64.exe -f bios.bin

This will begin the flash process in windows

I just saw this post of yours:

@HaunteR Sounds like you could possibly have a bad stick of ram.

Just got a email from gigabyte

Holy ****. I had the K OC switch enabled, too, maybe it's causing problems? I'm gonna disable K OC and try flashing to F4m and see if it helps. Wow.

Guys, I can't figure out if I have a problem with motherboard or RAM. I've been running Memtest and with all 4 sticks Memtest freezes after a few minutes.

With two sticks (DDR4_2_B and DDR4_4_D), it sometimes freezes sometimes passes. Every single stick passed all the tests at least once. Same thing for slots, every single slot passed all tests at least once.

Opinions?

That's a tough one, i would think memory. can you get another memory kit to try

The f20 bios is buggy and would not boot with my 3200Mhz ram @ it default speeds of 2133Mhz. i had to use another kit for it even boot into bios.

From what I understand NVRAM is not related to DRAM.

Is there a way to flash back to F3?

That's the BIOS picking up the GFX card.

Can you guys explain the VL4, VL5, VL6 voltages to me. I'm looking for a 24/7 stable overclock, and want the uncore up as high as it can go. My max temp is 74C @ 1.31vcore and 4.6ghz. That was an 8 hour run of OCCT with fans/pump on low.

Do VL4-6 hurt the chip? Is the whole OC socket thing just for benching runs?

thanks

VL6 is the most important for overclocking cache. I would start with 1.4v VL6 and start slowly raising Cache frequency till it will no longer boot. Should be around 4.0-4.3Ghz depending on your chip. 4.3Ghz + May require 1.42-1.47VL6. This is about average for the 3 chips i have had.

remember you still have to adjust vring / cache voltage since vl6 is seems like is mainly for getting it to boot.

I run my chip @ 4.6Ghz with 1.31vcore and 4.4Ghz cache with 1.28vring VL6 @ 1.45v

I try to keep vring / cache voltage the same or lower than vcore. thumb.gif

How long have you been running it like that?

You on adaptive or just set voltages?

Yeah that's 24/7 use with fixed voltage.

My first chip saw signs of degradation on cache when running 1.51Vl6 and 1.4 - 1.45vring @ 4.5Ghz -4.6Ghz . It was not a great chip so i pushed it pretty hard and it suffered the consequences. The chip eventually never did 4.6Ghz cache again and 4.5Ghz was no longer stable.

Out of interest what other voltage settings for these clocks your running?

A GTL screen shot would be helpful!
