So my system has been running windows for a long time now. I recently found out about kali linux and installed it to my separate HDD along with grub.

Now for some reason, whenever i boot into windows (which is on my main HDD), the USB's don't work. even weirder, its only when i boot into windows. usb's work perfectly in kali. the only way i have found to fix this issue is to reset CMOS... each and every time i want to boot into windows after being in Kali...

I know this is not hardware related because:
1.) KB + M both work fine in kali
2.) KB + M both used to work fine in windows until installing grub and kali
3.) After re setting cmos and booting into windows, there is not problem.

This must be software related. But:
1.) my mouse drivers work fine after resetting cmos
2.) my keyboard has default windows drivers, and they work after resetting cmos

exact time when the kb+m become un respsonsive:

a little after post, when the windows logo shows up.
normally what it does is: keyboard is responsive, lights are all on, mouse is responsive, lights are all on, then windows logo, kb+m turn off then on and my kb+m work in windows.

for some reason, my kb+m don't turn off then back on durning the windows logo now, and i will go ahead and assume that this is part of the issue.

my specs:

1x 1TB HDD (this is my windows HDD)
1x 1.5TB HDD (this is my kali linux HDD. dont ask why my kali drive is bigger than my windows... i simply don't know.)
Biostar TZ77A
Intel Core i5 3570k (was at 4.0 stable now its like 3.6 because i keep having to reset cmos :<)
GTX 680
16 GB Corsair Vengeance

kali is using an amd_64 build (i think i ****ed up the kernel though but idk linux that much so i'm really unsure of what im talking about.)

no errors show up in windows or linux that have to do with kb+m or any other driver/hardware/software.

I think it has something to do with grub, but again, I don't really know what grub is/does other than lets me boot to other file systems.
