I did research. But there wasn't as much information and I think that for the price I would have been more happy with the pb278q. I do really like the monitor and the slight bit of work I can get over. Also assuming I didn't do my research was incorrect. And I am gonna keep it. And my post was mostly about my opinions after having owned one for a long period of time.

I wasn't talking about you specifically, just people in general who buy the monitor and then complain about those things afterwards. Sorry if I came across that way. I see people who buy a 21:9 monitor and then whine about lack of resolution support by content providers. It's like "Dude... all of that is well known and discussed?" Personally, I am a firm believer in researching before you buy.

It's fine, I just don't like when I feel people assume things about me. We're good man. And it is fairly well documented. But it only more recently became really well documented. That's what I feel atleast. And I must say that playing project cars, elite dangerous and stuff like civ 5 is just amazing and a really good experience, but in my opinion for most other games it's negligible at best. But that's my opinion. It is also amazing for productive work in general. As you can move tools on the side and fullsize what you are working on, or haven't a really long time line. And multiple documents fit perfectly next to each other. So there are definitely pros but I don't see it that much for gaming.

Yup the main reason I got it, was because I wanted to use 2 browsers side by side without having multiple monitors. Then again, if I didn't get it for such a good price, I would still be on my 24". biggrin.gif

My wife has this one and she is a medical coder. She loves it for productivity. It has a lot of bleed in 2 of the 4 corners. This doesn't bother her. To me it's a lot.

I have the curved version and the bleed is quite a bit less.

Anyway, the 34UM95 is a nice monitor. Just beware of possible bleed.

If that's what you wanted, you would have been better off with a 30" 2560x1600. I was using a Dell 30" before I got my 21:9 and it was much better for web surfing than this thing, which I bought for the gaming experience. I really do miss the height for reading forums and overall browsing.

And that's exactly why when I upgrade to triples I'm going with bezels that are as thin as possible... Well, without taking them out of their casings anyways.

It's like when a fly lands on your screen repeatedly and you have to resist the urge to just smack it and try to shoo it away again and again... sozo.gif
