They do not, in fact most can't get over 75 from what I've read. At 80 you have frame skipping which negates any benefit of the higher refresh. These dells are gorgeous but let's not pretend they're more than they are: quality panels with a plethora of connection options and a reputable name behind them. If you're looking for the latest and greatest features, look at LG/Asus/Acer.

But with a commercial BD 'AV rack' type box, not just a BD drive in a computer - yeah you may be boned. For now

FYI you got me curious so I found another pointer to a fix. Not the same link as you had before, and ....

[EDIT - based on terms of service I don't want to get into trouble here. I by no means advocate circumventing any legal protections. Be advised the simple ability to watch a movie without black bars might mean doing so - yeah, news to me too. that's really messed up. "Copy protection" that restricts you from accessing a stream between legally purchased media and a legally HDCP-comppliant display asset is one thing. Preventing you from making best use of said hardware by modifying the way that display shows up - seems like unintended consequence to me. Also seems like some of my speculation in my prior long post about why TVs failed was wrong - it might not have been any technical upscaling process demand but be a legal barrier actively prevented better acceptance, by demonstrating a good use case for 21:9 in the first place. That's just plain shooting your own foot, AV industry!]

I have heard that the feature you might be looking for is a 'crop' feature not a 'zoom' feature if that helps your search. Good luck.

I will give it a shot as well, thanks!

You took photos of the frame skip test? If so, do post them up! I haven't actually seen anyone show proof they have gotten 80Hz to work, most are stuck at the 75Hz ceiling.

Photo should have the gray bars in a constant line without any skipping. This was just a cell phone photo of my Qnix, but you get the idea.

Off topic but does anyone know what shutter speed to use to check for ghosting? Id love to see if my new lg is as bad as the original um67 reviews.

I've got questions for some of you owners. I'm looking to switch to a 34" 21:9 monitor to replace my (2x) 22" widescreens (samsung 2253bw) this year. The first one is about curved displays, this seems great for games, but I also use my monitor for cad/modeling/graphic work, and I was wondering how this affects your work. I use Revit and autocad and others, does the curve have any perceived distortion when you really want to be seeing things straight and square?

I was looking at this samsung that someone else posted on the last few pages because it was one of the lower priced models and I've been happy with my samsungs https://pcpartpicker.com/product/L4Crxr/samsung-monitor-s34e790c and have been trying to stay away from the LG models since anything I've ever owned that was LG had some kind of issue that annoyed me. There appears to be very few sub 1K models at present.

I do CAD for my 3d printer using Creo Elements Direct Express, and the curve isnt noticable to me. Wish I had one at work (finite element analysis).
