its way to heavy even without the cable.
if its 3 buttons but not 75g or less why even bother?
no thanks.
as much as i hate the ninox aurora, bst achieved this even with 5 buttons.
the finalmouse is a big ergo mouse and achieved that being ergo and having 5 buttons.
I would have liked a top profile button, 2 side buttons and ~80g. If this was 2004 I would've likely bought this mouse because I didn't use the side buttons back then.
I like how they are trying this swappable switch feature. That can be really nice if there isn't any issues. It's the only thing that caught my attention initially. Also the swappable cables on their other mouse.
I have heard the Gladius has a lot of debounce time. I wonder if this mouse is the same.
They look normal. The marks are from the manufacturing process, the feet weren't polished after. The issue I see here is the area they made for your fingernail, it allows dust/lint under the feet.
Another thing I don't like is the extended area around the lens. That would likely hurt the glide.
That is near enough how they are they are sticking up a "little" because they peel off and on. But look at the gap and the rough edges THIS IS NORMAL and shows why my brand new golitahus was ruined by the ROG Gladius. The feet are the worst mouse feet ever designed. Infact how any of these mice made it to retail is shocking. People laughed at me when i said i had issues with the Gladius and now you see why.
Not only is the tracking awful, But the feet are awful and require mouse tape and a hard pad. Otherwise it is like driving on pebbles you get the same feeling of vibration. Asus ROG mouse are terrible do not buy these you have been warned if you try to use this on a cloth pad it will catch and rip bits out of it like my Goliathus. Asus cost me in total £65 on the mouse and £30 on my Goliathus XL.
To say i am angry about it would be the understatement of the year. They are lucky i do not make them pay for my Goliathus.

They need to either round off the edges, make them thinner or make the bottom shell extend around the feet (like the Intellimouse). The feet look like they just cut them to shape and didn't process them afterwards, that is "normal" for some products. Typically higher cost feet would be polished and have rounded off edges.
Popups they just need to fire whoever designed the damm thing.
The feet are not the only place where you see that an idiot has been in charge of design. The cable you see is non braided. Yet on the Gladius they give you a braided cable? But the best bit is this you get two cables and the non braided is so short is must only be about 1ft long... What is the point of bundling two cables to give people a choice in what they want to use when one is so short? The braided cable can have some abrasion on cloth so again Asus hate cloth yet have thier own cloth branded mats.
You know for sure that in the pictures of those "pro asian gamers" who apparantly worked with ROG is complete lies lol. They are probably using Razer/zowie and just taking the money Asus threw at them to pull in suckers like me... And people on these forums hate Razer? The real hate on here should be directed towards Asus mice to be honest. I am probably second to Roach and have never had a problem until i moved away from them.
I am going to be in full on rage mode until i can shift it and save enough to get a Chroma.
The arch, main buttons and scroll wheel position look nice. I don't know about the slant of the sides and the squared off rear. I might like the general shape of this mouse over the EVGA X5. The X5 has side buttons though, but it uses the 3988 sensor, I don't know if I like the 3988 after hearing about the DeathAdder 2013.

The thought process was likely: short cable for laptop users, long cable for desktop.
Desktop users these days are into the trend of having braided cables for everything. I don't like braided cables... If I bought the Gladius I would have been upset about the short cable.

Braided cables are associated with quality by average consumer. The best cable I ever used was the Orochi 2013 braided cable but that was very thin and not your standard braided cable. Wish more would go towards using thin and flexible braided cables for their mice.

I've actually gone back to skinning Braided Cables again and once you've done that the cable becomes far more flexible and thinner.
The polyester weave they all use is extremely thick and useless but it takes time to remove off the length of any cable. Just crack open a tinnie and watch some "Better Call Saul" before you know it, you'll peel away some godawful black rubbish that will reveal a decent plastic cable underneath.
So get busy removing all that braided junk as soon as possible.

they took time to make a nice shape yet it doesnt have side buttons? ***? super useless!
and what's with the bottom mouse feet having a sharp angle like that on the vertical?
