I just bought a new video card (EVGA GTX 970) and thankfully TPP is free right now with most mid to high end cards. I already activated my key through Steam and am just waiting for the pre-install button!
Now I just need to 100% my GZ game while I wait for this to drop.

I put at least 20 hours on it, and considering I only paid $15 for it I definitely don't feel cheated.
The PC version shows some finer details over PS4, while the PS3 is a way behind. The PC version is quite a bit cheaper at $74 NZ compared to the PS4 at $110 NZ. Glad I decided to upgrade my GPU over buying a PS4.

The PS3 version is even worse than what you see in those shots. I bought it on PS3 when it first came out because it's the only console I have and I wanted to play it. The draw distance for some objects (such as grass) is incredibly short. Like 10 virtual feet away sometimes. This is a problem because you use grass for cover. Makes planning your route very difficult, which is a huge problem in a stealth game. IMO, the PS3 (and presumably XBOX 360) versions are unplayable.

It sounds really disappointing but it always was meant for the newest generation hardware. TPP map is enormous in comparison to GZ so that draw distance is going to be really nice on PC.
Just counting down the days, currently watching a 12 hour plus stream on twitch of MGS 1-5.
I am also debating whether or not to get a PS4 for this game. I have played all Metal Gear games on the Playstation and hope the PC version doesn't have hiccups cough cough: Arkham Knight) because I cannot go through something like that, with such a game like this.
I was planning to get a PS4 too but GZ was on sale at Steam for $10 so thought I'd give it a try. I don't think you should be worried about problems with TPP since they actually put an effort into the PC version of GZ. You could save some money on the game and PS4. Your system is a real beast so it would handle the game just fine. Preorder on Steam and they'll give you GZ on PC to play so you can see. It is really well done, they were going to release the PC version two weeks later to give them time to finish but they've pushed that up to the same date as consoles.
You could always play with a controller for the nostalgia.

I had the same concern for the same reasons. What I did to alleviate those concerns was pickup GZ on Steam. It is the same engine as TPP, and plays perfectly. The controller will take a little getting used to, but it still plays very similar to the PS3 version, and I would assume to the PS4 as well.
I've been trying to play Ground Zeroes all week but it just keeps crashing on startup. I've installed each beta and tried a couple GPU drivers but nothing. I'll just stick with the twitch streams, kinda sad though.
Hope it won't have too many big patches. I've pre-ordered the physical DVD version just because my internet is super slow. Hopefully Konami doesn't screw this up.
Come to think of it I should've gone for the physical copy because they decided that Steam won't have a preload option. Will take a while on my connection.
And physical copies are always regionally (=cheaply) priced.
