Really like the mechanics of the game, among the best I have played from that aspect. First stealth game I really liked, mainly because of the free style approach, even stealth was fun for me, and there are mixed rambo and stealth moments. I think most reviewers had it spot on, the mechanics are awesome, hence its a blast to play and definitely worth getting, but the story and the story "problems" will be more divisive. For example reconciling mission 11 and 40, that was ridiculous and takes you out of the immersion, along with constant credits and "continued".

This actually deterred me for the game somewhat. Totally unnecessary and sort of outrageous. I get people deserve credit for their work, but for every single mission? Maybe a bit of the internal struggle here between Kojima and Konami revealing itself? Kojima wanting certain staff to be sharing in the limelight as much as possible seeing the end of kojima productions. Who knows. The fact that Kojima's name is on every single cut-scene makes him look very petty and who's ego is through the roof imo. An ego with talent to match.

One of the reasons was actually because the game costed way too much to create in the first place. Not because hes got an "ego"

How does the cost of the game relate to the mission credits? If anything, would it not cost more for someone to add in the additional credits?

The "internal struggle" wasn't about his name being pasted everywhere. Every other MGS has done the same in terms of credit naming in missions. I just wanted to point out putting your name everywhere wouldn't cause Hideo and his production company getting fired.

Gotcha. I played the original MGS, but that was a long time ago and havent touched the follow ups. I didnt know the mission credits were the norm. I'm not a fan of end credits when the scene is still ongoing like in movies, so me seeing them on a frequent basis like that sort of irked me a little. Definite nick picking on my part, but the game is so good, those small details tend to flare up for me at least. Speaking of irks, I almost completed a mission at one point, and i guess there is a point where you'll take damage while on D-horse if the fall is high enough. I ended up dying because of it. So for those wondering, you can take fall damage while on horseback.

Who knew gravity was a thing tongue.gif I discovered that you'll get a game over screen if you toss one of your staff off mother base.

Is anyone having trouble with the Lighting setting on Extra High? It eats up my fps causing a massive drop by 20 and the CPU usage goes up considerably. (Night time, mother base default landing pad)

yes me too.

Quite funnily I was mentioning it on OCN.net in several threads and people thought I was joking and that something was wrong with my overclocked 2500K.

Lighting on Extra High drops my fps from 70 to 40.

Though I don't understand why you have those problems with a 3930K @ 4.5ghz. A friend of mine has a 4930K @ 4.2 ghz and rock solid 60 fps at Extra Lighting. I need to ask him about Motherbase at night next time I see him.

Well, it looks like the Extra High setting is causing a massive CPU bottleneck on my system on mother base. Other scenes have been fine. Solid 60 @ 1440p.
