GTAV for PC will be arriving on April 14th at retail and as a digital download. Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game, but a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC. As a gesture of thanks for your understanding, we will grant anyone who has pre-ordered the game an additional $200,000 in-game cash for use in GTA Online.

As always, we ask for the GTA PC community's understanding and assistance in helping to report any concerns during the early days of launch when those inevitable initial teething issues arise on the new platform. If you do experience issues please visit Rockstar Games Support and send feedback to GTAOnline@rockstargames.com - we'll be closely monitoring the situation and addressing any hitches as quickly as we can.

The PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is our most graphically and technically advanced version yet, fully optimized to support a broad range of current hardware (system specifications) and features a host of PC-specific enhancements including greater levels of detail, deep configuration options and ultra-high-definition support - as well as the powerful new Rockstar Editor for recording, staging and editing original custom videos.

We thank GTA players worldwide for their patience in awaiting these big game updates and we are excited to bring both Heists and GTAV for PC to you very soon. Please stay tuned for lots more information in the weeks ahead and for now, check out some new screens showing action from Heists.
There is also info on the release date for Heists, both for PC and consoles.
Well, that did not take long.

Lol bummer. I went on with the ps4 version the other day. I needed some GTA fix.

Too bad about the delay and as much as it'll tick many off and turn this thread to a "I hate Rockstar" thread, it'll surly be for the best.....I hope.

This is the straw that broke the dino's back. They've lost my financial support

Like I've said before, I'd have rather had the game earlier while allowing it to grow with updates. Done with the waiting game.

Delayed again? People aren't going to take this one well...

At least Heists have a release date

I was just beginning the countdown this week. Great... Unfortunately it will come out while I'm in the middle of my business trip to Vegas. Good timing

On the plus... $200K more for GTA Online isn't bad... however... I have no idea what GTA Online actually is entirely because I've not even played the console version. Guess I'll find out when it actually comes out

We yell and complain when companies just throw their products out to the market completely not ready and say stuff like "just get it right, take the time to do it right", then when they actually do this we yell and complain that "omzg delayedz again?!?!? noooooo what a terrible company". I'm all for the delay if it does truly show in the game that it's polished and running as it should
biggrin.gif

More companies need to take a lesson from this.. unless it's garbage at release and then we'll just see that they were doing cartwheels instead of optimizing.

I'm in the same boat. I will still grab this game, but the duststation 4 will get some use from bloodborne, MKX and DBZ around that time...

Taking your time to finish a game is fine. Repeatedly giving release dates and not being able to deliver is not.

Not quite. IV was scheduled to be released in Nov but got pushed back to Dec... oh man all that optimizing time. That was probably due to GFWL more than anything

People need to let go of IV already. It's been 6+ years.

Max Payne 3 was released too, you know. We all know how brilliantly optimized it was. The same guys are doing GTA V.

I agree with that last part completely, they should not announce dates until they are within the last few percent of completion. Star Citizen learned this the hard way, same as CD Projekt Red haha

I mentioned MP3 and if you look my SS you see it's even in my game list and I had nothing bad to say about it but MP3 wasn't delayed months on months so this scares me. Even tho I have played V on PS3 already.
