Air cooling advice and GPU overheat (r9 290x,i7 5820k Haf 932) - Page 3

Thread Starter
Hey there! Sorry for so long time of silence - i had to study...

As for my GPU temps:
Finally i managed to reduce the VRM1 to 74-78C on BF4 Ultra settings + 135 Resolution Scaling -- and it seems to be stable... whats more i did some OC and Vcore now runs at 1120MHZ and Mem 1350
i get max 82C on BF4 gameplay Ultra so its 8C to dead zone ;-) anyway the clue was to add more RPMs to my "exhaust fans" and to get some more cold air from the front fans. I was thinking to replace my old case fans to some high rpm. Corsair SP120 or 140 but it seems that i dont really need them (maybe in the future) as for now i will stick with this setup just not to waste my money on cooling... now im getting another SSD drive for a new RAID

Whats really interesting the GPU temps were higher ,while i was playing BF4 than when i used Heaven Benchmark or 3Dmark Firestorm extreme. (my last picture in this thread below)

I hope nothing screws up until ill change my GPU to new one.

Thank u all for so many advices and photos.
