FX9590...another temp thread but I'm desperate.... - Page 3

According to the HWm the VRMs are getting to around 100c. I made the mistake of getting the UD3 instead of the UD7. I think my only option is to lower the voltage of the chip.
Increase the CPU/NB Voltage to 1.3v and see if that stabilizes the Ram. I had issues with ram stability as well with the UD3 and I was only trying to run DDR3 1600. I think this is actually the source of the LLC problem. If that stabilizes it start reducing the voltage until it is no longer stable.

All is not lost. Actively cooling the VRMs and the socket will help a lot.

What about reversing the fans?

And what about the thermal margin?
I don't know if that would help or not, but active cooling on the VRMs and on the back of the motherboard socket are proven tactics.

Reversing the case air flow direction will help VRM temps considerably.

I was able to salvage the Rev 1.1 and later after 'bending' over the course of several months the motherboard back....I put a 6350 running only at stock speeds on it....it's been going fine for over a year now. I don't have anything against Gigabyte or the UD3 boards, you get what you pay for. If you're wanting to push lots of volts and lots of heat, their higher end boards are better to do it with. Just my opinion. I don't care what brand of Mobo it is, I would always go for something equivalent to a UD5 or better.

Rev 1.1 was before my FXing days tongue.gif I didn't know the issue went back that far.
