Not so fast! Set your GPU-Z sensor refresh to 0.1 and turn on logging, THEN scroll through the results quickly looking for a perfcap change. If you don't get one after one run you're good for gaming!

However, you can't call it 100% stable in benches unless you get 5 minutes of OCCT without errors. My 970 gets 10c+ hotter in OCCT and gets errors when it's perfectly stable in everything else. Might not be useful to be OCCT stable, but if you are getting 100+ errors before 5 minutes I'd say that isn't really stable. A couple dozen or so starting above 84c is totally fine though since you'll never reach that load outside of OCCT.

It's tricky to use, do you know the right settings?

I'm "still" on 358.78, give me a sec..

EDIT: Actually, it looks like I'll be benching this instead!!! biggrin.gif http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=403652

I got close...

Hi,
Not sure where to post this so sorry if it's in the wrong thread.

I am unable to enable the second graphichs card in device manager after flshing the modded bios. I just get the yellow exclamation point.

I have 2x gigabyte gtx 970 g1 gaming graphics cards in sli.
I did a backup of my stock bios with cpuz
I then downloaded the max-unleashed bios and opened it with maxwell bios tweaker.
I then made a copy of my stock rom and opened it also with maxwell tweaker so I had both roms open side by side.
I did this because the max-unleashed is version F3 and my stock rom was version F42. i have samsung ram.
I then copied all the data from the max-unleashed into the stock rom tables and saved it .

Ithen went into device manager and disabled both cards
I then used nvflash to create a list of my graphics cards. It saw both cards numbered as-
<0> gtx970
and
<1> gtx 970

I then proceeded to flash as follows-

nvflash --index=0 -6 rom_name.rom

it went as it says it should in the guides i have read.
I enabled the adapter in the first slot and then rebooted, all seemed to go well.

I then did the same for the second card instead typing into nvflash-

nvflash --index=1 -6 rom_name.rom

I then tried to enable the adapter but instead of enabling I just got the yellow exclamation mark.
I rebooted and tried again but same thing.

I then tried to restore the original bios in both cards but I now have the same problem.

. Both cards are water-cooled so it is very difficult to remove them.

Can someone please help me fix this preferably with the custom bios.

many thanks

Alright guys, what clocks are you running! madsmiley.png HAAAAAAAX! https://youtu.be/fVz1VVWcF5U?t=8s

Actually... I do believe the "HAX" are 100% made of Intel CPUs and higher GPU clocks... jealoussmiley.gif
Asus Z97 Pro will be here Monday... Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
357.87 1493/3900MHz
My usual settings:

VS 358.78

Probably error of margin. Although WHQL does always seem to be a little slower than Dev.

I have my CPU running at 4.7 GHz and my GPU is at 1552 / 8010 MHz ( Samsung memory ) thumb.gif

Guys, I've installed the new drivers, 358.87 and my memory oc is running weird and wild.
It won't hold the oc clocks no more lowering to the default 1750 but even more, is downclocking to 1500 mad.gif
Tried several times with the both msi ab and nvidia inspector, with benches, games (TW3) and even the gpuz's render test is doing the same, lowering my mem to 1500.
I've only tried once (just to see if it's holding) to clock the memory at 8200 with the new drivers and then I've tested with the FFXIV max @4k during the bench noticed some black rectangle artefacts so I've stopped it.
Now it's acting like this, I have to reboot every time but then, after a while is dropping to the ****ty 1500 mad.gif
Any hints?
The gpu oc is still maintaining its oc's (1531 or 1551)
