GIGABYTE GTX 9xx H2O/AIR BIOS Tweaking ┌(ô益ô)┐ - Page 325

Hey all, i bought 980 ti WF3OC version of the card unfortunately could not purchase the G1 one because they put it in my location stores 2 days after buying this one... :/
So i am looking for help with the Bios, all i want is to have the G1 OC specs or little more, i prefer to have 100 % stable and safe performance, so i wonder if that is possible with this card.
The card default specs are with 1064Mhz base 1152Mhz boost and can up to 104 power target, the bios is 84.00.36.00.7E
Card: GV-N98TWF3OC-6GD / Rev 1.0 / Bios is: 84.00.36.00.7E GM200.zip 151k .zip file

Indeed! I got scared at 85C when testing also. Abort smile.gif

FYI in general (to everyone)
Tips for a MOD BIOS:

(1) Open your case, makes a huge difference
(2) Fans make noise, get over it cards need to be cooled
(3) A custom fan curve is MANDATORY with a MOD BIOS
(4) Supplemental fans on top and/or around your GPU are HIGHLY recommended (not we talking about this a few pages back)
(5) Clean out your dust bro!
(6) Tie up your cables man!
(7) Get a full cover block for your GPU wink.gif

The included antivibration kit includes mounting screws which act as feet for the fan. Btw the fan placed to the side of the card makes for 10 degrees of difference.

^ What he said smile.gif

Thank you!

Yes, copy over ALL the settings IDENTICALLY (triple check) and these tweaks should work just fine for your MSI also! Any questions let us know. thumb.gif

Yup your GPU is compatible with the G1 BIOS. Please extract your BIOS, zip and attach to your post so I can inspect it for you to make sure I get the right one for your card. smile.gif

I am almost certain you can flash the BIOS in the OP but since I am rushing out the door just consider this a preliminary assessment wink.gif

You are using DP and have an F1 BIOS

I was wondering since i don't understand much can you help me to flash with the proper bios so i don't touch things after much.
Can the card have higher default clocks like the G1 to run or it's best to increase the power target only so it would be unlocked, any other settings?
Also was wondering if this card is not G1 it maybe because it didn't pass the binning process or something?
I am just worried not to **** my card, not so rich to afford another.. better play safe smile.gif

the hot air comes "out of the winforce logo" but the sidepanel fan blows down on the windforce logo.
so this looks to be not so good in my eyes but maybe im mistaken...

I have a 200mm fan blowing cool air from the bottom feeding the GPU underneath. I usually take the side panel off (so easy to do) when playing intensive games which helps get the hot air from the GPU out.

My temps are now much cooler.

ah ok i thought your fan was inside your sidepanel but if its in the bottom of the case this will help a lot!
