G1 - ASIC 81.9% (!!!)
Stock Bio: Stable - 1552/7012 or 1519/8002, power limit: 100%, zero vcore, auto fan, 68°C.
Modded Bio (V4): Stable - 1539/8002, power limit: 100%, zero vcore, auto fan, 67°C.

Xtreme - ASIC 78.8%
Stock bio: Stable - 1580/8022, power limit: 100%, zero vcore, auto fan, around 59°C
Modded bio: Stable - 1595/8011, power limit: 100%, zero vcore, auto fan, around 55°C ---- Almost 1600 MHZ!!!!

It looks like that I will keep Xtreme one and return G1 this Friday. (unless you want this perfect G1, please pm me. biggrin.gif)

Laithan, thank you for those amazing modded bios!

PS: How can I post images here? confused.gif

Thank you for sharing your results.

Indeed you've got a gold G1, mine had a 72.8% Asic but could only go as far as 1480 stable.

The Xtreme i currently have though is a total different beast! Same exact Asic (Coincidence) 72.8% but stable at over 1570Mhz core!

I have to ask about your methodology though: What game did you use to confirm stability?
I'm asking because i also got around 1600Mhz for my core stable at some benchmarks but i killed it with WITCHER 3@4K.
Just start a new game and leave Geralt like that and wait. Around 4-5 minutes you will crash. 1570/8000 is the max i can get stable.

Hope you get great results!

thats how it works rolleyes.gif

Well after months of buying parts I was finally able to power on my new machine last night. My card is a non-G1 980ti (GV-N98TWF3OC-6GD) with an EK full cover block and 76.8 ASIC (which i'm told isn't important). I didn't have time for much tinkering after installing windows last night, but I will after work today. I downloaded the bios from my card this morning. I'm *pretty sure* that I'm using DP bios from the information I've gathered from reading this thread. Could use some guidance in deciding what BIOS I should try using. I'd like to try pushing my card as hard as I can, I should have a good bit of thermal headroom (overkill radiator setup).

EDIT: it looks like since my bios is FA0 I'll have to copy over settings from the BIOS's in the OP to my BIOS? (i havent seen FA0 mentioned anywhere at all so maybe this version is referred to as a different name or it's just not as common as the F1/F3/F4 bios versions I see mentioned here)

bonus grainy cellphone pic of my new rig (i'll take better pics once I clean up the wiring) Grainy Cellphone Pic (Click to show)

Yeah, the PSU I bought during a sale back in October, before I got the 980ti. At that time I was planning on buying one or two more R9 290's to crossfire with the one I already had so I got a PSU that gave me headroom. At least I shouldn't need a new PSU for a long time.

After reading through this thread, it looked like a safe-ish starting place would be the V4BETAF4 BIOS in the OP, but I wasn't sure if my card was compatible with that BIOS so I copied all of the settings from that BIOS to my BIOS (that I posted earlier on this page). Could someone check this for me before I flash it? Would be appreciated. Also, I wasn't sure if I should modify the fan settings from the V4BETAF4 bios to something different since my card has no fans and only a block on it.

TLDR: I've attached the bios that I pulled from my card in GPU-Z, and modified using MaxwellBiosTweaker to copy the settings of the V4BETAF4 bios in the OP. Want reassurance before flashing.

EDIT: removed attachment; messed up some values

Well I flashed my bios with success from the first time, oc guru show me i have G1 now, haven't tested it yet but i see i have power limit to 150 % so any good and safe settings for the V4BETAF4 BIOS would be awesome i don't want to fry my card it on the first try lol Can i use oc guru because i am used to it or need to change to afterburn for this?
Laithan thank you very much good sir ++

did you unlock the two hidden voltage sliders in your bios before you copied all the settings over?? if not, you may have adjusted the wrong sliders

Nope, and you're right i screwed up the voltages. Redoing it now with the hidden sliders unlocked.

EDIT: finished copying the values over from V4BETAF4 BIOS onto my BIOS; This time with hidden voltage sliders unlocked. Thanks for the tip 0xzz my voltage table was all sorts of messed up. Still hoping for someone to reassure me that this thing is safe to flash onto my card. Attaching both my original BIOS and the one I modified. I triple checked and all values are the same as far as I can tell (apart from the extra hidden voltage slider I had that isnt in the V4BETAF4 Bios, I didn't modify its value)

Hi there,

I applied your settings via copy/paste to my F60 bios.

there is a problem on fast mouse movements while surfing on the internet. the strang thing is: nothing like that happens in other games / or apps than internet browsers and it doesnt happen on every website. as far as i can tell every browser / http application is affected. i tried microsoft edge, firefox and google chrome.

the mouse curser starts to generate pixel errors. to show my problem i made a small video with my handy camera so you can see what iam talking about. im sorry for the very bad video quality, i tried to keep the video file as small as possible.

is there anyone else having those problems? its only on browsers and it doesnt happen on all websites.

im using windows 10 with the gigabyte g1 970.
