If you do i'll also do my best for that FF test you asked me a few days back!

Thank you mate, i'm now closer than ever to the BIOS of my dreams lol!

Thanks bud..

Two fresh BIOS' one for the extreme and the other for the new waterforce. smile.gif

Yup smile.gif
Just means it is VERY close to final (I think RC2 will be the final).

Your WF3 cards can flash the G1 BIOS in the OP also (effectively makes them a G1 card wink.gif ). Let me know if you need any help or have any questions.

Really happy with how this has turned out and it doesn't add any extra noise the way I've set it up. Win win. biggrin.gif

Now back to some gaming lol.

Very nice! Good job on the creativity!
You know and idea just popped into my head, an erector set could come in handy for custom fan mounts.. Hmm! tongue.gif

OK bud.

I got up to 1594 and 2175 (memory is max'd me thinks) with the voltage and power sliders maxed in PX16. Shows 1.274v (H2O RC2 bios) and my temps are maxed at 40c with HeIllinois indoor temps. Can I get more voltage?
IF I plug in the MB additional PCI-E rail power to my RVE might it help? I "feel" I might get more with voltage and cooler temps which right now the temp control is easy peasy with mom nature being my friend here.

I get driver crashes at 1600 which may mean I'm done, I know this, BUT if I can get MORE POWER it may help. Without voltage I can get to 1565 and have zero issues in all I run (everything) so maybe I can get past the magic 1615 window.
I'm rebuilding me OS's on my main rig so everything is "record breaker" ready if I can, just no sure which OS is the best choice 7-8.1 or 10? wink.gif

I can run my 60x at 5.0/45 with my ram at 3200 and tight timings so I wonna see if I can get back to the top 3 in FS/Cat/Heaven ect ......... devil-smiley-019.gif

It's funny you posted this because I was just toying around with overclocking and I was running Catzilla tongue.gif (I wish it would support 4k because I am CPU bound at lower res) and then I was toying with Resident Evil 6 benchmark. You may hear me always talking about testing with FFXIV Free benchmnark @ 4k maximum settings for the ultimate stability test (which it is). I can pass that @ 1599Mhz but can't pass it on 1600+Mhz (so close!). I also tested with 1.312v and it didn't seem to give ME any additional O/C headroom. In fact I saw some VREL perfcaps indicating the VRMs couldn't handle that voltage because as soon as I went back to 1.300v they were gone. We are currently at 1.293v so as far as raising the voltage you could go to 1.300v but since it wouldn't even let me get from 1599Mhz to 1600Mhz, one lousy Mhz! I doubt it will do anything for you either. Adding additional power would help you MAINTAIN a boost clock without PWR throttling but more power will never allow you to overclock higher as that responsibility rests with voltage (assuming you are NOT getting PWR perfcaps also).

Max stable overclocks are also application/game specific in addition to your BIOS/Hardware limitations.

For example, even though I cannot get 1600Mhz to pass in FFXIV 4k MAX I can get well over 1600Mhz with other benchmarks (I am sure you could too). This one is Resident Evil 6 benchmark @4k max settings.

1620.txt 928k .txt file

4k downscaled to 1440p 60fps

Also IMHO Win7 is the best O/S out there right now. I have the SAME ORIGINAL INSTALLATION of Windows 7 from the day it came out and it still performs flawlessly! Boots up fast, shuts down fast.. I don't consider it "cluttered" at all unlike how Windows XP was (you needed a fresh install like every 6 months lol). The fact that WIn7 still performs so well after all this time says to me "there's nothing broken, don't attempt to fix it"... Windows 8/8.1 is a tablet O/S crammed into a PC and offers little worth mentioning. Windows 10 is a gigantic privacy violator and personal information siphon that is wrong on so many levels...

Who needs DX12 yet? Anyone? Vulcan supports WIn7 and there's a boat load of people sticking to Win7 so game developers have a LOT more incentive to write for a cross platform API with more than double the market penetration than the DX12 API which ONLY runs on WIn10 (especially when you know damn well they could add it to Win7 if they really wanted to). F-M$ 2.0! Never thought I would miss Mr. Gates as much as I do now..

Hehe well some games are just more stressfull to overclocks then others . Like Far Cry 4 , doesn´t even run stable at stock clockspeeds , lol kidding ofc a lazy fail from ubisoft . But yeah i know what your talking about looking back at my 980 ( non Ti ) . Was getting 1600 on Firestrike , couldn´t go higher , but was able to run the hitman benchmark with 1642 all day long biggrin.gif .

Don't you have a mistake with fan settings in waterforce bios? Isn't it supposed to be 1050-3200, not 0-4200?
